East Village Today have posted a couple of videos from the New York set of Marvel and Netflix's Jessica Jones. In the first one, Jones (Krysten Ritter) arrives outside a building on Avenue B and East 7th Street in a taxi as Luke Cage (Mike Colter) watches from the window. The next vid is where we get into SPOILER territory, as the footage shows Ritter's stunt double flung back onto some safety mats after the building explodes. Its not likely Cage was killed of course, but it's pretty clear these two are going to be in a lot of danger over the course of this show.

"Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check."

Jessica Jones also stars David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Patricia “Trish” Walker), and Carrie-Anne Moss.

I really liked Daredevil, he's my favorite Marvel hero. But I don't know much about the character this show is about. Can someone fill me in on what this character can do?

DD is the best small screen comicbook based series so far. I'd love a Marvel knights series on HBO though.

Thanks @DavidMullich ! So basically, she's like Marvel's Wonder Woman? Does she have powers on the show?

seems like there's a lovers quarrel going on here, they way he stares back at her then closes the window and walks away
just speculation

@Kr08 **MILD SPOILERS** Jessica Jones's story started with her already having retired from a short stint as a super hero. She got super strength, limited invulnerability and limited flight from a car accident involving the same chemicals that blinded Matt Murdock. Her family dies in the crash. She is in a coma and when she wakes up is eventually adopted by the Jones family. As a young woman, she becomes Jewel, a super hero. Almost immediately, she runs into Purple Man who mind controls her into his super powered slave. She eventually breaks free and retires from heroics to open Alias investigations.

@homodrome I need to meet that chemical company that happens to make superheroes every 5 minutes lol. So it's most likely she'll have powers in the show and run into Matt or him as Daredevil, right?

@dethpillow I actually am asking, hence the question mark. I know nothing about her character and I wanted to find out about from fellow comic book readers than wikipedia.

@dethpillow Maybe making me understand more about her character rather than belittle my opinions and questions might just actually help me.

@0megaDaGr0dd Thanks, man! I know that sometimes we are at odds with each other but thanks for understanding that I actually want to learn about her before watching the show. Is that a specific omnibus or is there an ongoing series?
I only referred to Wonder Woman because in the wikipedia page (which was no help), it said that her powers were flight, invulnerability, and some super strength.

@dethpillow Daredevil is my favorite Marvel hero and I really liked the tone Marvel went with for the show and his character. When I read that they're doing the same with a few other shows, of course I got interested. I'm not a fan of AOS or Agent Carter but their Netflix shows seem to be their best. Think of me asking about her like a normal person who has never read a comic asks about who Green Lantern is.
