Though it hasn't actually been officially released just yet, we can get a first glimpse of the official logo that'll be used for Marvel and Netflix's Jessica Jones in the video below. In it, showrunner and EP Melissa Rosenberg praises lead actress Krystin Ritter's commitment to the role, and her toughness. She also says Netflix is the "dream" network for them to showcase the series.

"Ever since her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy, Jessica Jones has been rebuilding her personal life and career as a hot-tempered, sardonic, badass private detective in Hell's Kitchen, New York City. Plagued by self-loathing, and a wicked case of PTSD, Jessica battles demons from within and without, using her extraordinary abilities as an unlikely champion for those in need... especially if they're willing to cut her a check."

Jessica Jones also stars David Tennant (Kilgrave), Mike Colter (Luke Cage), Rachael Taylor (Patricia “Trish” Walker), and Carrie-Anne Moss.

Me and my brother have recently discovered Doctor Who is on Netflix, and have been rewetting a bunch of old David Tennant episodes, which has made me even more hyped for this show. Can't wait!

Kinda sucks they dropped the "AKA" and just made it a generic title of "Character Name", but that's nitpicky. I'm excited for this!

@ckal Well it's not like they could've called Daredevil anything OTHER than Daredevil (unless one wanted to call it "Nelson & Murdock", but I don't think the series focused enough on that to justify a name change). But with this, calling it "AKA Jessica Jones" at least would've given it some personality...and for the longest time, they were calling it that. Again though, not a big deal.

Yeah, the AKA would have made it a smidge more unique.

I agree with SauronsBANE and MrMartyMarvel that they should kept the AKA.

Still excited for this one. Her comics were really good and after sharing them with my girlfriend, made her a huge Marvel fan.

@Omarvls

You didn't include Iron Fist on that list.

Yeah, should've kept the "AKA", as it would've only added a little more character and intrigue to the inevitably nondescript title. Not as bad a decision as cutting the "of Mars" from "John Carter", though.

Really excited about this show! :D

Someone tried to tell me Kristen Ritter is John Ritter's daughter.
After minimal research, I found this to be false.

Also, my wife once believed that Tommy Lee Jones played the head FBI agent in Die Hard.
Just a fun fact.

We'll probably get a trailer in September, the netflix trailer for Daredevil was released 2 months prior to the actual netflix release of the series, and considering we'll probably get footage at D23, they'll probably wait about a month to showcase some footage, hence september.
