VisionQuest Merchandise Reveals First Look At Human Vision And Ultron New Robot And Human Designs

Two Funko Pops for VisionQuest have been revealed, offering fans a first look at the robot and "human" sides of the show's leads, Vision (Paul Bettany) and Ultron (James Spader).

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige only mentioned VisionQuest briefly at San Diego Comic-Con when he confirmed that the focus of Saturday night's panel would be on movies, not TV series.

Now, though, some upcoming Funko Pops have revealed a surprise first look at both Vision and Ultron. The former looks very much like how we remember him in WandaVision, though his human half is holding a newspaper called "Vision Today."

It's previously been reported that the Avenger might travel inside his own mind to converse with other AI, so perhaps we're going to pick up with Vision in a stylised, Westview-style world? We'll have to wait and see.

Ultron looks suitably formidable, with a design that's nearly identical to his final form in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Again, it's his human side that's most interesting, as James Spader is rocking glasses, a beard, and a very unique style of clothing.

With these Funko Pops now available to order, could the first VisionQuest trailer be imminent? Not necessarily, and we'd expect a first look to be released during next month's D23 at the earliest (where Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 will also likely be showcased).

"One of the things that’s fun about that is that we finally get to see what it’s like inside Vision’s mind, and it’s more cluttered than you would think," Paul Bettany teased last year. "He’s clearly been saving and copying and pasting [the AIs] to keep them alive inside his head."

"One of them, of course, has to be kept behind a pretty impressive firewall because he’s a psychopath. But [Ultron is] a clever one."

The Vision, rebooted and having escaped those who sought to use him as a weapon, has been in hiding. His quest for new meaning and discreet existence is interrupted when a bounty is placed on his head, forcing Vision to forge real connections and embrace found family if he's to survive.

VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany as Vision, Ruaridh Mollica as Tommy Maximoff, James Spader as Ultron, T'Nia Miller as Jocasta, James D'Arcy as J.A.R.V.I.S., Orla Brady as F.R.I.D.A.Y., Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H., Henry Lewis as D.U.M.-E (or Dum-E), Jonathan Sayer as U, Todd Stashwick as Paladin, and Faran Tahir as Raza. Terry Matalas serves as showrunner.

The conclusion to the WandaVision trilogy is set to premiere on Disney+ on October 14.

*sigh* I guess Ultron is no longer an Avengers-level threat, they’re probably going to nerf him like they did Abomination and Wrecking Crew in She-Hulk.

@soberchimera - That's something that tends to happen when you die. You become less threatening to the living.

You don't even know the story, yet. For all we know, this is a fragment of code inside his head.

@soberchimera - I think Marvel should just officially remove She-Hulk from canon. That show added nothing of value to the MCU and just damaged almost every character it touched. I had forgotten that the Wrecking Crew even existed in the MCU.

As for Ultron, I am hopeful that they wouldn't bring him back without a valid reason. The talent behind the show is very high, including Spader himself.

@Urubrodi - I think people who think something they don't like should be removed maybe need to realize that they are not the only human on earth, and things should not be catered to them. Just like Marvel puts out MANY comics and not everyone is going to like every comic, people should expect the same from the movies and shows.
I seriously only hear man babies online complain about She-Hulk, everyone else liked or loved it. They found it entertaining.
LenSpiderman
LenSpiderman - 7/27/2026, 10:54 AM
@Urubrodi - I think marvel really missed an opportunity by not simply setting she hulk in the same universe as Deadpool. It would have added to the multiverse, it would explain why she also breaks the fourth wall, it would help make the silly tone (including the goofy depiction of daredevil) easier to accept, and they could have actually leaned HARDER into silly things rather than playing defense about including them. In top of all that, it leaves the door open for a more serious take somewhere else (come on Betty Ross, ultimate hulk v Wolverine!) or a skewed tone sequel where this she-hulk ends up in 616 and has a fish out of water storyline about how weird it is that the world is actually serious.

LenSpiderman - 7/27/2026, 10:56 AM
@DarkeyeZ - true. While I wish it were set in Deadpool’s universe so they could embrace the silliness more, it was actually quite entertaining and a brisk watch.

@Urubrodi - Secret Invasion first. At least She-Hulk knew it was dumb.
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 7/27/2026, 11:26 AM
@TheyDont - Secret Invasion was bad but a bit inconsequential (apart from the fact that they burned that storyline). She-Hulk did more "damage" to the MCU as a whole.
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 7/27/2026, 11:33 AM
@DarkeyeZ - We are not talking here about a divisive property that still has a high number of fans. The people who liked that thing are a very low minority. "everyone else liked or loved it" that's an absolute lie. Plus, you really think if the show did that well that Marvel wouldn't have fast tracked a second season or at least inserted the character in something else (e.g. the very Hulk centric Cap 4, at least a mention in Daredevil Born Again...)? No one in Marvel Studios ever talks about it. Wonder Man literally came out this year and already has a second season announced. And finally, please learn to have discussions without offending other people, it is possible to disagree with people without being aggressive.

Definitely interesting clothing for James Spader
Excited to see Ultron but worried they will give him the Abomination treatment. I dont want a good guy Ultron
Urubrodi
Urubrodi - 7/27/2026, 10:15 AM
@Vigor - Considering that Vision is gonna be relearning about who he is, won't be surprised that Ultron and the other AIs will come to life from fragments/backups from Visions own mind/databank. So he might start as a less threatening version of the original one, but hoping he doesn't stay like that.

@HashTagSwagg - My first thought as well. "Hey lets have a show about two androids/robots....but we'll have a lot of it in digital space in their heads & then also allow them to be able to alter their appearance to others so that we can just have Bettany & Spader talking to eachother"

I really hope they don’t make a mess of Ultron in this show, he should be a Doom or Thanos level threat.

@Spike101 - No, he only was universe threatening in one storyline.

Thanos had multiple ones.
Doom only recently.

I maintain that the Ultron and Vision scene in Avengers 2 is one of the best written scenes in the MCU. Pure poetry.

Can't wait to see how they defile it with this new thing.

Wish they took the opportunity to give Ultron a more faithful look. The moving metal mouth looks ass and takes away from other places CGI could be better used. Also, turn those antennas right side up instead of pointing down. It appears they are still going down the same path as before and integrating Ultron into those filthy organics which should be appalling to him.

I have a feeling ultron might appear to have turned good but by the end of the series he’ll be back in all his metal glory and back to being a robot like he always wanted. He’ll be out of his “prison” human body.

I trust Terry Matalas, of course their showrunners aren't really showrunners and this could be another Secret Invasion fiasco with Kyle Bradstreet from Mr Robot. I'll give it a shot

Looks interesting. I like it, I'll check it out for sure. I really like how they are doing different things and making things for different people. Like, not every comic book is for every comic book fan so why should shows and movies only cater to one type of fan? No one here reads every comic that comes out (I doubt you read any, as the amount of time some of ya'all spend crying online doesn't leave time for much else), so why would you think you would like every movie or show that comes out?

@DarkeyeZ - It’s like a conversation about Lanterns looking very different very different from Superman and and Supergirl, for instance and Clayface seems like it will be different from all of the others. There are too many people here who seem to think that every property that’s made be a movie or TV show has to be made to their liking. In addition to that and other people have commented on this, with a lot of people something is either fantastic or it’s trash. There’s no middle ground or nuance to a lot of people‘s opinions based on what they’re posting here. Anyway, glad to see you’ve got a more open opinion about things.
