VisionQuest Stills Reveal First Look At Emily Hampshire As E.D.I.T.H. And A Pre-VFX White Vision

New stills from VisionQuest reveal a first look at Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.'s human avatar, along with a pre-VFX White Vision and the other AI programs set to inhabit the hero's digital world.

Some new stills from Marvel Television's VisionQuest have been revealed in the latest issue of Empire Magazine, and they include our first proper look at Emily Hampshire as E.D.I.T.H.

The AI program last appeared in Spider-Man: Far From Home, and was contained within the glasses that Tony Stark left to Peter Parker after his death. When Mysterio got his hands on them, he unleashed chaos on London, framing the web-slinger before revealing his identity to the world.

We also see Paul Bettany's White Vision pre-VFX (which is always an interesting sight), and the former Avenger in his human avatar, joined by E.D.I.T.H., F.R.I.D.A.Y., Dum-E, and U.

The conclusion to the WandaVision trilogy will be released right before Avengers: Doomsday, meaning there will likely be some connective tissue between the projects. If Vision reunites with both Tommy and Billy, then they may well set off together to find the Scarlet Witch.

"I think ultimately, what Vision is going through are things that we all go through, and deal with," VisionQuest showrunner Terry Matalas recently told the magazine. "Trauma, dealing with relationships, dealing with how we react to experiencing love or not experiencing that. It’s strange that a show about an AI is the most human of them all."

In VisionQuest, Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponise him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron.

His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision's son, reincarnated. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron's influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.

VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, with Emily Hampshire and James D'Arcy.

The series is directed by Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, Vincenzo Natali, Terry Matalas, and written by Terry Matalas, Cindy Appel, Christopher Monfette, Nicole Falsetti, and Matthew Okumura.

VisionQuest is created for television by Terry Matalas, based on the Marvel Comics. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Terry Matalas, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne, and the producer is Roopesh Parekh.

The series premieres on Disney+ on October 14.

@Nonameforme - Disagreed. The trailer for this one got me more hyped than the Doomsday one, tbh.

Plus, James Spader, man. He's awesome.

Sweet , cool images!!.

It’s nice to have Emily Hampshire in this since she’s a good actress and it makes sense too given she was in Terry Matalas’s (who is the VisionQuest showrunner) tv series adaptation of 12 Monkeys where she played a genderbent version of Brad Pitt’s character in that and was great so he probably called her and asked if she wanted to/ could do it or not.

Anyway , should be fun to see the human iterations of these A.I’s that we have followed in the MCU so far interact!!.
