VisionQuest TV Spot Hails MCU TV Series As "Trippy And Transcendent," Reveals First Look At [Spoiler]

Marvel Studios has released the first critics TV spot for VisionQuest, and as well as revealing intriguing new footage, the latest Marvel Television series receives heaps of praise.

Marvel Television's VisionQuest premieres on Disney+ next week, and Marvel Studios has just dropped the first critics TV spot for the series. It also features a first look at a mysterious robotic device and a scene that many fans are theorising has spoiled a major cameo.

That comes around the 0:22 mark, when we see someone's hand on Vision's chest, and blue energy emanating from it. Yes, it's seemingly the same blue energy used by one Billy Maximoff. It's safe to assume then that the hand next to him belongs to Tommy Maximoff.

We'll have to wait and see whether we get a family reunion in VisionQuest, but the main focus of this sneak peek is the enthusiastic praise the show has been receiving on social media.

Paul Bettany and James Spader are called "magnetic" (that quote comes from yours truly), with another critic enthusing that the former "shines" in every episode. Spader, meanwhile, "steals the show," and VisionQuest is hailed as "trippy and transcendent" and a "genuine love letter to WandaVision."

The review embargo lifts on Monday, which is earlier than other recent MCU projects on Disney+. That suggests Marvel Studios is very confident about this one, and if the early praise on social media is the same in full reviews, then this could be one of Marvel Television's biggest success stories yet.

Check out this new VisionQuest TV spot in the players below.

In VisionQuest, Vision, rebooted and having escaped from those who sought to weaponise him, has been in hiding. Searching for new meaning, he consults the AI personas embedded in his programming, including F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and the infamous Ultron.

His discreet existence ends when a bounty placed on his head thrusts him on the run with Thomas Shepard, a mysterious boy who may be Vision's son, reincarnated. As Vision evades capture, he must confront his nature, resist Ultron's influence, and unravel the enigma that is his young companion if he’s to survive.

VisionQuest stars Paul Bettany, James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T'Nia Miller, Lauren Morais, Orla Brady, Diane Morgan, Polly Frame, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, with Emily Hampshire and James D'Arcy.

VisionQuest is created for television by Terry Matalas, based on the Marvel Comics. The executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Terry Matalas, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne, and the producer is Roopesh Parekh.

The series premieres on Disney+ on October 14.

The show continues to look good so can’t wait to check it out…

Also I think the VFX look real good , quite polished imo.

Anyway , it was a great idea by Terry Matalas to bring Spader back as Ultron since his chemistry with Bettany in AOU was already great in the limited time they had so to build an entire show around that dynamic seems like it’s paid dividends given the praise he and the series are receiving thus far!!.

I guess I am the only one that gets pissed off when I see things that have a flash of the old MCU in them.

After years of being told dogshit was food and Spider-Man BND being really [frick]ing good, I am [frick]ing furious over the public cornholing my favorite characters were put through.

It's not as bad as Star Wars or Indiana Jones and DC has been [frick]ed since Dark Knight Rises but goddamn - why was it so [frick]ing hard to make decent Marvel content?

I am all in on this.

Like Vision, I blame all the stuff I do on having an evil robot presence in my brain.

And that guy is working overtime.

Finally! Jocasta!
But no Wasp. Maybe she's based on Pepper or Betty Ross?

I mean how much cooler would it have been if they got Michelle Pfieffer for this show and she was the voice of Jocasta? A lot cooler.

I'm still holding out hope that we will at least see Michael Douglas in all the secret origin flashbacks (I mean if they're doing Jim Hammond etc, why not throw in Ant Man and Wasp).

@ObserverIO - That'd make too much comic sense. I'd love to see Hank get a little credit for Vision.

Perhaps he set up a ai blueprint tool that Tony took over and made his own.

Visual effects is expensive; Can't blame the live action approach. Though I haven't really enjoyed the guy since Boston Legal
