COBRA KAI Season 4 Teaser Confirms The Return Of KARATE KID III Villain Terry Silver

There's been a lot of speculation that Karate Kid III villain Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith) might return for the fourth season of Cobra Kai, and that's now been confirmed via the first promo!

Netflix has just released the first teaser promo for the upcoming fourth season of Cobra Kai, and it confirms the return of the despicable Terry Silver.

In the season 3 finale, Kreese (Martin Kove) turned to a mysterious individual for help after Johnny (William Zabka) and Danny (Ralph Machio) put their differences aside and joined forces. There was a lot of speculation that the person on the other end of the line was Silver, and sure enough, Thomas Ian Griffith (ponytail and all) will reprise the role for season 4.

Silver was an old war buddy of Kreese's, and the original financier of the Cobra Kai dojo. He served as the principal antagonist of Karate Kid III after first becoming Danny's new trainer only to betray his student by revealing that the whole thing was an elaborate plan to gain his trust. The character appeared in flashbacks during season 3, thanking Kreese for saving his life and promising to be "there for him" for the rest of his life.

It looks like Kreese will be calling in that favor!

"I never imagined I'd be stepping back into this role, but what an incredible opportunity to bring Terry Silver full circle," Griffith tells EW. "When they say Cobra Kai never dies, they mean it!"

Check out the brief teaser and a poster below.

@Evansly - Me too, but he's also probably the most imposing American opponent the kid had, and he was 100% down for the cause. It was just a matter of time really.

Hated KK3 and Terry Silver but I’m sure CK will put him to good use.
I hope this is the last season and it ends strong.

I recently rewatched all karate kid movies and I know a lot of people hate on 3, but I genuinely enjoyed it and and very excited to see how much of a dick terry silver will be this time around!

@r4dagast - I never understood why people dislike KK3. It was probably my favorite one.

And you just know the guy that wws training under Silver in that movie will make a comeback. I can't remember his name, unfortunately.

Knowing he was retired, makes it all the more fun and unexpected Griffith is returning.

Kinda hoping they bring back Mike and Hillary Swank's character (whatever her name was) next season or the one after too.

Sweet. KK3 was better than 2 and if not for Kanan and Griffith it could have been a total bust for me. Hopefully Kanan gets at least a cameo here too.

Yes, the scenery chewing in Part III was over the top and very cheesy. However, his character works REALLY well for Cobra Kai TV. In fact, I'd argue that Part III was more closely resembled an episode of Cobra Kai rather than a Karate Kid movie.
