As the upcoming Disney+ Ahsoka series continues to round out its cast, the latest addition is Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno. No details on her role were disclosed, but Deadline has heard that she's playing an all-new character created for the show.

This news follows the recent announcement that Natasha Liu Bordizzo will play a live-action take on Star Wars Rebels fan-favorite Sabine Wren. They join Rosario Dawson, reprising her The Mandalorian season 2 role as the titular force-wielder, and Hayden Christensen as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader.

Sakhno will be best known to U.S. audiences for her roles as Cadet Viktoriya in Pacific Rim: Uprising, but she's also appeared in the likes of Let It Snow, The Spy Who Dumped Me, and Can't Take It Back.

In the closing moments of the Rebels series finale, Ahsoka and Sabine embarked on a mission to find Ezra Bridger after the young Jedi was seemingly sucked into a wormhole during his battle with Grand Admiral Thrawn. Though these events weren't mentioned specifically in Tano's episode of The Mandalorian, there were a few hints that she might be searching for answers during her confrontation with Magistrate Morgan Elsbeth.

Bridger and Thrawn have yet to be cast.

Ahsoka is rumored to begin shooting next summer for a 2023 premiere date.

Slightly OT: Man I’m still pretty annoyed that the Pacific Rim sequel basically killed the franchise. The first one is campy and cliched but I loved it and wanted another one from GDT

@Ha1frican - it's been on Netflix for a week now and although I have put it on the list, I'm just not tempted to watch it. Only reason is probably John Boyega

If you rearrange the letters of her last name, it almost spells Ahsoka.

@THEDARKKNIGHT1939 - I'm not dyslectic, but I admit I had to look twice to see why you said almost.
