D23 is set to get underway later today, and we are expecting a few Star Wars announcements on Saturday. For now. we have a first look at the show floor display for the second season of Ahsoka.
The display features some concept art in the background (most of it debuted during last year's Star Wars Celebration) along with (slightly) updated costumes for Sabine Wren, Grand Admiral Thrawn, the Great Mother, one of the Nightsisters, and Ahsoka Tano herself.
But most intriguingly, we have a first look at what appears to be Anakin Skywalker's snow suit from The Clone Wars animated series.
We knew that Hayden Christensen would be back (Anakin returned as a Force Ghost in the Season 1 finale), but it looks like we will also flash back to Skywalker's pre-Darth Vader days when a young Ahsoka was his Padawan.
Christensen reprised his iconic Star Wars prequels role in the first season, appearing to his former apprentice when she became trapped in the "World Between Worlds" after a lightsaber duel with Baylan Skoll (the late Ray Stevenson). Anakin served as a spirit guide of a sort, forcing Ahsoka to confront her past and (potential) future.
It remains to be seen if a teaser for Ahsoka Season 2 will be released during D23, but we are expecting a first look at Star Wars: Starfighter.
Check out the display photos and video clips at the links below.
Set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
