STAR WARS: SKELETON CREW - New Story Details Revealed Amid Claims Of Behind The Scenes Issues

New story details have been revealed about Disney+'s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, including what role Jude Law (Captain Marvel) will play! However, these come amid claims of possible issues on the show's set.

Skeleton Crew is quite easily one of the more intriguing Star Wars projects heading our way next year, with very little known about how the series will fit into this wider Galaxy Far, Far Away.

All we really do know is that the Disney+ series focuses on a group of kids who get lost in space, with Jude Law cast in a lead role. With a confirmed post-Return of the Jedi setting, we anticipate it somehow tying into The Mandalorian and Ahsoka, though can only speculate about that for now (recent rumours offered some insights into that, though).

Thankfully, Making Star Wars (via SFFGazette.com) has shared some new intel, including the fact Law's character is likely a "teacher" responsible for the kids in this series. It looks like he'll join them on this adventure, and the site compares his role to Bran in The Goonies.

We can also expect to see plenty of aliens (a refreshing change of pace after the human-centric Andor), with one Weequay said to bear a striking resemblance to Hondo Ohnaka; could the character finally make the leap from animation to live-action? He's shown up in Disney World and Disneyland, of course, but has yet to make his presence felt in a movie or TV show.

Finally, the site notes that we can expect Skeleton Crew to explore the origins of the Nightsisters, though they'll somehow be different to the witches we previously met on Dathomir.

Less exciting is the news that production on the Star Wars series hasn't been smooth sailing. It's claimed that many crew members have left the show, with some so frustrated they currently have no desire to the franchise for another project.

With one anonymous crew member saying Skeleton Crew has been rougher than every other Star Wars production combined, it's added that some felt, "underappreciated, disposable, and disrespected." Still, on a happier note, it doesn't sound like any of those rumoured problems have negatively impacted the show.

Star Wars: Skeleton Crew premieres on Disney+ next year.

What matters in the end of the day is: will it be good? We'll see.

This show does feel like the right place for Hondo to appear.

Another character I hope to see from The Clone Wars is Huyang. Think he would fit in here pretty good as well.

This show seems to be getting more interesting everytime we hear about it.
It really sounded like a kid based show, but the more we hear the more it sounds like we're getting something fans old and new will be interested in.

My hype for SW and Marvel material was through the roof years ago. Then Last Jedi happened, and then disney+ happened, and phase 4 happened. Now I wonder if I should bother at all, I know I'm now the only one. Iger knows this

@bobevanz - I felt the same way. Have you seen Andor though? The best star wars content I’ve seen since Disney bought Lucasfilm.

It makes Mandalorian look like the Star Wars Holiday Special in comparison.

I did find the lack of aliens in Andor a little odd
