STAR WARS: THE ACOLYTE - Spoilery Breakdowns Of The First Two Episodes Have Found Their Way Online

Surprisingly, details about Star Wars: The Acolyte's first two episodes have found their way online in the form of full-blown breakdowns, and you can find more details on what's happening right here...

In recent weeks, a lot of apparent spoilers for Lucasfilm's The Acolyte have begun to find their way online, including a report that Darth Plagueis could end up playing a role in the Disney+ series.

Set roughly one hundred years before the events of The Phantom Menace during what's been dubbed "The High Republic Era," the show looks set to reveal a very different side of the Star Wars Universe. Leslye Headland will serve as showrunner, of course, while there are even rumblings that Loki helmer Kate Herron will direct the series. Amandla Stenberg was recently tapped as The Acolyte's lead.

Updates have been sparse since, but we may know the source of these apparent leaks.

While we won't be sharing them here, a blog called Fulcrum Leaks (via SFFGazette.com) has recently been set up that has full breakdowns of the first and second episodes of the show. There's no way to verify whether these are genuine, but much of what's revealed lines up with what we've been hearing from other sources, so we'd bet on them being the real deal.

This blog even has details on the Tales of the Jedi animated series, and it's definitely a shock to see this much intel surface online so soon. Then again, the Star Wars franchise has always been something of a leaky ship during this Disney era, with the entire plot of The Rise of Skywalker available to read online months before the movie arrived in theaters.

As always, we can't help but wonder whether Lucasfilm themselves might have shared these details in an effort to gauge fan reaction to their plans for The Acolyte. Cameras haven't even started rolling yet, so only a very limited number of people would have access to these scripts this far in advance.

Who knows, but if you weren't already excited for The Acolyte, you probably should be. With any luck, some official details are going to be shared during Disney+ Day on September 8.

@TheMandalorian - Wilding just trying to figure out how he can break this “leak” up into 47 articles about the 172 different things this series needs to succeed…

What’s funny is that this is an article about another article that’s telling you what you want to know. Lol

“While we won't be sharing them here, a blog called Fulcrum Leaks (via SFFGazette.com) has recently been set up that has full breakdowns of the first and second episodes of the show.“
Then what’s the point of this?

If you want to drive traffic to your sister site you can’t at the same time strip the readers of this site from context by simply „promoting“ the other article on this site.
Only makes readers reject your sister site.

I’d encourage you guys to consolidate your sites into one. CBM, SciFi, Movies in general, games and (maybe) wrestling. Easy to access, not baiting readers to other sites under the same publishing umbrella.

@Blergh

Would be really curious to see the click #s on SFF Gazette. Has to be pretty [frick]ing bad.

@Blergh - I agree. Just give us users an option to check from which sites we'd like to see (for me, that would be CBM, SciFi and games probably).

I fully understand keeping them seperate though. We users are probably a fraction of all visitors, and for those it might be more useful to have everything seperate

@Blergh - That’s how it was since forever…Then they made the changeover to this sister site stuff for some reason…

When they started this sister site thing I vocally complained in a couple of articles about it…Got talked down to like I was a five year old complaining about having to eat my veggies…Never did get a solid answer as to why it was being done but they did seem to get really prickly when I broached the ~ click revenue ~ topic…Wilding was already posting “articles” under multiple aliases before this sister site thing kicked off, but now those articles get posted up sometimes three different times via the separate sites 🤷‍♂️ …

Whatever it is those other sites are dead…Tried posting up comments on the separate sites when it started but there’s usually zero response…Now I generally find the news elsewhere when it comes out, then just sit around and wait for it to get posted up on here so I can discuss it…Ends up being late like this article but it is what it is…Kind of sad really…

In other news the god awful "Resident Evil" Netflix series has been cancelled.

@Mercwitham0uth - what a surprise. Heard nothing but bad things about, I'm not sure it even got into the top 10 of shows.

Still, I do still wanna watch it to see what all the fuzz is about. Even if it's just the first episode

@Mercwitham0uth - Thankfully, or perhaps mercifully would be the better descriptive…Had me dangerously close to canceling my Netflix sub on principle alone…That was one of the worst series I’ve ever watched…I somehow managed to binge it over the course of a weekend…Feel like I deserve a medal of some sort…

@vegetaray - You and me both. I binged it in one sitting with friends and we picked it apart so bad. Everything about that series was wrong. Unlikable characters, terrible writing, cringe worthy dialogue, poorly edited sequences, and fake fan service.

That show was Resident Evil in name only.

Everyone involved with that series should be ashamed of themselves.

For some reason it reminds me of Clone Wars arcs like the Nightsister and Bounty Hunter arcs, and that's a good thing.

Think the name Paul is just a placeholder though. That's not really a Star Wars name, and not a villain name at all. Maybe that's just his civilian identity though, and his Sith title is Darth Venamis (who I still hope is in this).

STOP WITH THE THEIR!!! STOP ENCOURAGING THIS!!!

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - I get that you’re trying to make a joke about identity politics here, which is already comedic low hanging fruit in the first place, but your punchline doesn’t actually work anyways. There are two episodes being referred to. When you are referring to more than a single person in the possessive, regardless of gender, “their” is grammatically correct. Your joke is bad twice.

@AntiDragon613 - thank you for the feed back. I’ll take it into consideration and try to get some better jokes.

And better grammar.
