We may not be seeing Cara Dune in the galaxy far, far away again, but Gina Carano fans will be glad to hear that the former MMA-fighter's new movie, Terror on The Prairie, is set for release later this month.
Having already come under fire for what were perceived to be extreme right-wing views on several different occasions, Lucasfilm fired Carano from her role in Disney+'s The Mandalorian last February after what was deemed to be an "abhorrent and unacceptable" social media post.
Conservative media company The Daily Wire came out in support of the actress, and announced that they'd be working on a new feature project together. Now, the first trailer and a poster have been shared online (via FearHQ).
Directed by Michael Polish (Northfork, Twin Falls Idaho) from a script by Josiah Nelson, Carano plays a woman who is forced to fight back and defend her son against a gang of vicious outlaws who arrive on their properly to take revenge on her husband. The cast also includes Nick Searcy, MMA star Cowboy Cerrone, stand-up Tyler Fischer, Gabriel-Kane Day-Lewis, Heath Freeman, Samaire Armstrong, Travis Mills, Matthias Hues, Rhys Becker, Izzy Marshall, Jeremy Gauna and Thomas White Eagle.
At the very least, this looks... nicely shot? Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments. The Western thriller is set for release on June 14, and will be available for streaming on DailyWire.com.
