The penultimate episode of The Mandalorian season 1 was originally supposed to hit Disney+ on Friday, December 20th, but we're now hearing that the still untitled "Chapter 7" will premiere a couple of days earlier on Wednesday the 19th.

Why the change? Well, the episode will reportedly feature a sneak peek from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. We have no idea what this will entail, but chances are it'll just be a new clip from the movie that airs before the end credits roll. There's a lot of speculation that the events of the show will ultimately tie-into the final installment of the Skywalker Saga, but that obviously remains to be seen.

For now, we do have brief synopses for the final two chapters, which offer some vague clues about what to expect.

Episode 7 — An old rival extends an invitation for The Mandalorian to make peace.

Episode 8 — The Mandalorian comes face-to-face with an unexpected enemy.

If Wednesday is the 19th and Friday is the 20th, what is the date for Thursday? :)

@Hoot3 - Thursday falls on the dot of Jeremy Bearimy in 2019. And also it doesn't in alternate timezones starting with the South Pole.

It's always been planned that it would release on Wednesday 18th. This isn't new information.

The connection with "The Rise of Skywalker" has to be the mysterious character Zorri Bliss.

"An unexpected enemy"?

Im guessing its Boba Fett. After The Mandalorian thwarted all the other bounty hunters in the galaxy the Imperial Remnant dug up and recruits the greats bounty hunter of them all!!

Please don't tie the Mandalorian to shitty episode 9. It's great as its own thing.

So episode 7 either Greef or The Client is gonna call him back to "make peace"
and in Episode 8 he's gonna meet Gus Fring.

Makes sense.

Episode 6 will be Bill Burr and Natalie Tena

When will Ming-Na show up? Is she the rookie bounty hunter in episode 5?
