THE MANDALORIAN Season 3 Poster Might Be Hinting At The Return Of [SPOILER] In The Weeks Ahead

The official Star Wars social media accounts have shared a new poster for The Mandalorian season 3 that appears to confirm past speculation about a big return taking place later in this batch of episodes.

Halfway into The Mandalorian's third season, and it's still hard to predict where the show is taking us. The stage is definitely being set for something big, though whether the many hints being dropped will pay off in the next four weeks currently remains to be seen.

We do expect Din Djarin to once again clash with the evil Moff Gideon, and while Bo-Katan Kryze is proving a valuable ally, might the bounty hunter turn to another old friend for help?

A poster commissioned by the Star Wars UK Twitter account (first shared on SFFGazette.com) features none other than Boba Fett, a character we last saw in his spin-off series. While we're not sure how interested he would be in helping retake Mandalore, he is Mandalorian, and may well be drafted into the fight that's coming.

Many of you will be quick to point out this is essentially fan art, and it's a fair point, though we find it hard to believe Lucasfilm would be okay with a character not in season 3 being included when every other piece of imagery is borrowed from this latest batch of episodes.

We're going to temper our expectations for now, but believe there's a strong possibility Fett will appear in a cameo role at some point.

Despite the fact there's still no word on plans for The Book of Boba Fett season 2, we do expect the character's story to continue in some form based on that exciting stinger featuring Cobb Vanth.

Stay tuned for updates.

First season it was focused on Dinn and establishing the few remaining Mando cultures.

Second season was Dinn and Boba.

I don't mind season 3 being Dinn and Bo rediscovering what it means to be Mandalorian and reuniting all Mandalorians.

@TheVandalore - oh what the heck, Din only has one N now? I must have just slipped through the Multiverse again.

Tell me, is Michael Jackson still the President in this timeline?

@HydraB0b - over big Dins left shoulder. Notice the head antenna and his back attachment.

@TheVandalore - I keep forgetting he's the only one I've seen with a rocket on his jetpack.

@HydraB0b - yeah the rocket was what confirmed it for me, since other Mandos have antenna, but also no other random Mando has a bigger spot like that. The small other Mando on the opposite side is also Din.

Boba fett isn't a mandalorian.

@Origame - Mandalorian isn't a race. It's a culture now. Anyone can be Mandalorian if they take the creed. This is the way.

@Origame - but also Jango was Mandalorian. And raised Boba to understand Jangos ways.

@TheVandalore - 1) it is a culture. But one that Boba doesn't follow.

2) George Lucas specifically said neither Jango nor Boba were mandalorians. Granted, that's not applicable to the current Canon, but still worth mentioning.

3) in mandalorian season 2, bo katan says to Boba, "you're not a mandalorian" to which Boba replied, "never said I was".

@Origame - ok. Valid points. ✌ I concede.

@0bstreperous - one thing I've noticed about Dave Finoli shows, is he enjoys episodes that branch or don't just focus on the title characters. If he has an arc in mind, and the story needs episodes to focus on other characters, those episodes will.

Until the time comes Din is legitimately written off and someone else becomes the lead, it's still the Din show. Hell, Din stole 2 full episodes from the Book of Boba. I think we can afford Din costars without being so dramatic lol
