The first teaser for Ahsoka premiered during this year's Star Wars Celebration, though it still hasn't been officially released by Lucasfilm.
We're assuming that's because it's being saved for September's Disney+ Day, but we can't discount the possibility that the series won't start being promoted until nearer its premiere date in 2023 (we're expecting it to hit the streaming service during the summer). Either way, fans are anxious to see more from the highly anticipated Star Wars Rebels sequel.
Now, another leaked version of the 30-second sneak peek has found its way online, this time offering a much better look at that footage (a previous leak showed only half the screen).
We won't be posting it here, though you'll find it all over social media and on the r/StarWarsLeaks Reddit.
The teaser confirms some significant returns, including Hera Syndulla. The Star Wars Rebels character is only shown from behind, but she's clearly been cast, and we can't help but wonder if this is who Mary Elizabeth Winstead will play in the series. Elsewhere in the footage, we see Huyang, the droid played by David Tennant in The Clone Wars and Rebels.
Most of the spotlight is put on Ahsoka, though we do see Natasha Liu's Sabine Wren, who can be spotted right at the end of the teaser looking at the mural she painted of Ezra Bridger and the team in the Star Wars Rebels finale.
It's pretty obvious we'll be taking a deep dive into Jedi lore in Ahsoka, and while Lucasfilm still hasn't revealed who will play Ezra Bridger and Grand Admiral Thrawn in the show, this sneak peek alone is more than enough to get us excited for what's to come. Hopefully, the footage will be officially released soon, though Lucasfilm has yet to debut The Mandalorian's season 3 trailer after it was similarly shared online by fans from Star Wars Celebration.
As noted, Ahsoka is set to premiere on Disney+ sometime in 2023. Keep checking SFFGazette.com for the latest on the series as we have it.
