The revelation leads her deeper into a demonic world that threatens to trap her in Silent Hill forever.
In an exclusive interview over at
ShockTillYouDrop.com, they snagged a few quick words with Paul Jones, the make-up artist that brought you the creatures from such films as
Resident Evil: Afterlife, the upcoming
Resident Evil: Retribution and many other movies. Apparently the film is delivering a new and fresh take on the creatures featured in the first film
, yet still staying faithful to the source for the fans(including myself). This interview is nice to see since there is little to no news at all of this new movie.
"There is an element for the first movie that Patrick [Tatopoulos] did that we have to be loyal to," Jones told us. "The Red Pyramid is back, we essentially rebuilt the Red Pyramid from the ground up. Aesthetically, it looks the same. But it's a whole new build. The nurses are brand new, we ended up redoing everything that Patrick did and they're redoing all of the costumes. We had to. They wanted all of the stuff from the previous movie, but that was six years ago and that stuff is rotten now, so we re-did all of that."
Jones previously worked with Bassett on 2009's Soloman Kane and he said that the director wanted to put a distinctive stamp on Revelation. "For Michael, this is more of a horror movie than an art film, so he wanted a lot more stuff for this movie. One character - he had sketches done, a full body study and then two sketches of the head. He handed those sketches to me and me and my concept guy, Martin Mercer, ran with that and essentially redesigned the entire creature, but it still had that aesthetic Michael wanted. This is one of the new characters I'm talking about. We have four new characters completely designed by me."
