How would a computer not become obsolete as the games get better? That part confused me. An entry level computer just can't handle the graphics of new games, how does that work? It seems like a crazy claim.

I've been falling it for a while, they seem to overcome they lag time issue. As far as PC's go there is different resolutions that can change @ least 60 frames a second. U would probably need @ least 1.5mbps internet connection. But its still pretty cool.

computer games will ALWAYS look better and be superior to console games. your forgetting something. it isn't the games themselves that look the way they do. its the hardware that drives those games to meet their potential. when a console comes out, thats what your stuck with until the next gen console is released. with computers, you can constantly upgrade software and hardware (video cards / processors) to maximize your system. therefore, making games look better.

for example, that new aliens vs predator game that is coming out soon. its going to be on consoles and PC. the PC version will have brand new DirectX 11 technology backing it, but the consoles will not, so the PC version is going to be much better looking.

but thats the problem with PC gaming...its more expensive to keep your system up to date...even if it does make a much better gaming experience than consoles will ever be able to do. unfortunately, PC gaming is on the decline, and has been for years.

But he's saying you wouldn't need to do that, which is what confused me. He said that with a basic off the rack computer you could play the hottest games and you'd never have to worry about going obsolete.

...ha ha this thing will bring on the extinction of the consoles and graphics cards/processors.

Current internet connections speeds are the only things holding this thing back. I hope it works out, because I really want one.

As fast as our current and future technology is growing, this concept is inevitable. Every tangible and thought-up con will be fixed by the time the actual product is released, which probably wont be for another couple of years. I'd like to see where this goes.
