UPDATE: Grand Theft Auto 6 Gameplay First Look: Jason And Lucia Take Vice City By Storm In Epic Preview

There have been a lot of leaks this week, but Rockstar Games has finally revealed what Grand Theft Auto 6 has to offer in a jaw-dropping first look at gameplay from the long-awaited sequel.

UPDATE: Rockstar Games has now revealed the full 26-minute Grand Theft Auto VI sneak peek. If you're wary of spoilers, we'd advise checking out the clips at the bottom of this article, but if you have a spare half hour, this is an absolute must-watch...

After a week of leaks, Rockstar Games has released the first official Grand Theft Auto VI gameplay footage on Netflix. The 26-minute sneak peek pulled back the curtain on what to expect, and it doesn't seem premature to say GTA VI could be one of the best games ever made.

Vice City feels alive, and whether it's interacting with NPCs, robbing stores, getting into shootouts, or even parachuting off skyscrapers, it's apparent the game will push the current generation of consoles to their limits. The world itself also looks very interactive.

While you'll have to head to Netflix for the full sneak peek, several clips have been shared on social media. We've included a selection below (via GameFragger.com), showing how missions will play out, the many activities to fill your time with, and how seamlessly players can switch between Jason and Lucia.

Interestingly, racing—on the streets, on a circuit, and off-road—looks set to play a big role in the game. As for car chases, shooting at the cops no longer causes their vehicles to blow up; instead, they flip over and crash into other vehicles, rather like a film come to life.

Those leaks definitely didn't do the graphics justice, anyway, and it's easy to imagine it taking hundreds of hours to fully experience everything GTA VI has to offer (for what it's worth, one of the game's producers has been quoted as saying a full playthrough took them roughly 80 hours).

"Vice City, USA. Jason and Lucia have always known the deck is stacked against them," reads the official synopsis. "But when an easy score goes wrong, they find themselves on the darkest side of the sunniest place in America, in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida — forced to rely on each other more than ever if they want to make it out alive."

Launching November 19, later this year, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, the $79.99 standard edition of Grand Theft Auto VI features "a single-player experience set in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet."

The Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition amplifies the experience with an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story, and will be available for $99.99.

All Grand Theft Auto VI pre-orders and purchases before November 20, 2026, will include the Vintage Vice City Pack, a collection of items that flash back to when the neon burned brightest, alongside a free month of GTA+ for digital pre-orders. Players who pre-order digital versions of Grand Theft Auto VI can begin pre-loading on November 12, 2026, to ensure they can play at launch.

This shot sounds so tedious. Keeping up their relationship, refueling cars, etc etc. GTA was fun because of the arcade-y-ness of it all.

Sad day for the trolls rooting for this game to fail, say you what will about the developers but this is going to be the trendsetter for the next few years at least!

@Kadara - it's much bigger at stake. A release this major setting the precedent of going 100% Digital is Bad. Very bad

Looks like an upscaled RDr2 ripoff. Zero innovation.

Reboot the MCU and DCU

@FireGunn - By that logic RDR2 was a GTA V ripoff.

Batman Knightfall dropped 2 days ago. No article. But let’s write about a video game with no ties to comics.

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - Standard Josh. Trash. He managed to make a whole article about Indy Navarette saying she was “excited” to play rogue. He presented it as if it revealed something. He’s an absolute bellend.

@CAPTAINPINKEYE - it was the best animated DC movie in a long time. I didnt recognize Michael Mando at all as Bane. That animation kept the spirit of the comic as well..

WHERE'S THE [frick]ING ARTICLE!

@bobevanz - I have noticed a huge lack in DC related content on here. Batman Caped Crusader season 2 came and went without a peep around here, and now this. If they’re only going to allow two people to post around here, at least talk about the stuff everyone cares about. Crazy

I'm sold.

I didn't watch any of the leaks by CyberQueefs.

I was on the fence over this game since it was announced. I liked almost all of the GTA's:

GTA IV was IMO was pretty mid

GTA V was cool but just felt like it was missing something.

This one looks better than I expected.

At first I thought it looked no better than RDR2, but then they started driving. The level of detail really is insane. Leaked stuff didn't do it justice.

Only small complaint I have is the amount of cutscenes they showed and how the mini map and weapon wheel looked. Other than that, it looks amazing.
