Deadline reveals that Fox have begun developing Bad Company; an hour long action comedy based on EA's hit video game, Battlefield: Bad Company. While recent instalments have been far more serious in tone, the first game was very much a light-hearted affair, despite being a first person shooter (one sequence saw players driving a golf buggy as they attacked a dictator's compound). The series is being developed by Alias' John Eisendrath, Sony TV and studio Happy Madison. Eisendrath has written the pilot, and it will feature the main characters from the game. According to the site, "It follows four renegade soldiers as they exit military life and enter the private sector. But trouble is never far behind as they realize their commanding officer had used them to further the ends of a shadow unit within the government and now wants them dead to cover his tracks." The game was great fun and this series has an awful lot of potential...
