Today is a big day for Star Wars fan. We heard the Disney brought LucasFilm for 4 billion dollars, we heard Disney announce Star Wars: Episode 7 and said it was coming out in 2015, now we learn more about the effects of the deal. Fans of the Star Wars video games are wondering what will happen with LucasArts' internal development studios as they are currently working on Star Wars 1313. IGN reached out to LucasArts and received the following statement:

For the time being all projects are business as usual. We are excited about all the possibilities that Disney brings.

For more information, LucasArts is simply directing people towards today's official press release. Disney's CEO Bob Iger, speaking on a conference call regarding the buyout, has stated that the company is now focus more on mobile and social development than consoles going forward. Though, as Tech Crunch notes, he also said they'd pursue console games "opportunistically," licensing out the franchise to other companies.

Named for Level 1313, a ruthless criminal underground deep below the surface of the planet of Coruscant, the game puts players in control of a deadly bounty hunter as he uses an arsenal of exotic weaponry to hunt down his marks and uncover the truth surrounding a criminal conspiracy. Star Wars 1313 emphasizes epic set pieces and fast-paced combat with a hero who uses human skills and gadgets, rather than supernatural Force powers, to make his way through this dangerous world.

force unleahsed is the most offending franchise for star wars. it looks like dragon ball in the star wars movie. there's no art or thought in it, it was only mindless action with an exagerated Force. just play with dragonball Z (and i love both SW and DBZ)
The only games i want from star wars are Battlefront 3 (come on, the 2 was pratically a mod of Battlefield 2...we have 3 now with stunning graphics, so what are Lucasarts waiting for?) and the sequel to dark forces/jedi knight stories.

Force unleashed is a great game franchise that connects the 3rd and 4th episodes amazingly...it ended on a cliff hanger and I want the last one so I at least have closer...and I do second a third game in the jedi outcast/academy franchise.

So many Star Wars games need sequels. Why make an entirely new game? KotOR 3 needs to see some light of day, whether its done by Obsidian or Bioware. Battefront 3 really needs to be made, but I presume they won't make it until after Episode 9 or whatever they're going up to. And Force Unleashed 3 because 2 wasn't that bad of a game, just needed to be longer.

No wait… did they not like having a Number 3 on their games?
