Kratos is back and this time he's bringing his son Atreus along with him as he tears through a whole new realm filled with threats unlike anything we've ever seen before in this new incredible gameplay trailer for Santa Monica Studio's God of War.

The trailer gives us a closer look into the new world Kratos has found himself in since we last saw him in God of War 3. It also features a more paternal Kratos as he goes on this new journey with his son Atreus, immersing themselves deep into a part of the world that is home to the gods and monsters of Norse mythology. Now, Kratos must survive these new lands with his son while taking on a whole new pantheon of gods.

God of War will be released exclusively on PS4 in 2018.

Living as a man outside the shadow of the gods, Kratos must adapt to unfamiliar lands, unexpected threats, and a second chance at being a father. Together with his son Atreus, the pair will venture into the brutal Norse wilds and fight to fulfill a deeply personal quest.

Sony kicked E3 in the ass. Microsoft Ubisoft, and yes even Bethesda were all disappointing.

If I was a Xbox One only person I'd be angry with Microsoft for not investing in games. Because we all know they don't like new IPs, see what they did to Scalebound for what I mean by that. Thankfully I also own a PS4 so I know there will be great exclusives. This game looks great. It will be nice to see how much more different this version of Kratos will be compared to how he was in the past. I also can't wait to pick up the new Uncharted and the DLC for Horizon: Zero Dawn.
