Ubisoft has announced that Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth is now available to purchase at retailers in North America.

Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth is the ultimate super hero brawler set in authentic comic book-style art environments and based on the iconic Secret Invasion storyline. Players will travel back in time to the iconic tropical prehistoric preserve, the Savage Land, or hop on board the signature ship of the fictional intelligence/defense agency S.H.I.E.L.D. to save the Marvel universe from the skrull invasion.

Players can choose from twenty of their favorite classic Marvel Super Heroes or Villains within the game including all of The Avengers, Spider-Man and Wolverine. Using Kinect and motion gaming, players will use their full body to act out powerful attacks such as throwing arrows like Hawkeye, striking a debilitating bite as Black Widow or hurling gigantic concrete rocks as The Hulk.

Developed by Ubisoft Quebec, Marvel Avengers Battle for Earth will be released in North America on Kinect for Xbox 360 on October 30th and Nintendo’s Wii U system in December.

It's terrible.

They cranked out a game with the "Avengers" title for obvious reasons.
Don't waste your money!

They shouldvee kept the one game that we've seen footage and so much concept art from. The FPS actually seemed cool even though at first I thought it wouldnt work. Why'd they even scrap it?

Why couldnt they had just made this a regular marvel fighting game using controllers or best yet, another game in the style of Marvel Ultimate Alliance.

I'm betting I won't LOVE this game, but I think it's definitely geared towards my younger kids. We'll see what they think of it tomorrow after playing it :o)

Ubisoft has had some great projects. This sadly doesn't look like one. Awful trailer. I'd be 62% more excited about this if I was 12 years old.

Saw the word "kinect" didn't even continue to read or watch the video because I know its gunna be crappy. I would love a good marvel game for once, besides marvel vs capcom.

One thing can I think can be said about Marvel, is there seems a lack to do anything of effort outside of the movies.

Still got some decent comics of course, but Marvel Now seems to have come a little late (Launching around the time of The Avengers, would have seemed to have made sense), no tie-in game (Didn't have to be based on the movie, but imagine if another ultimate alliance was made, and released around the time of the movie: easy money), we are getting a TV show, which is nice, but just feel a little let down they they go to so much effort to create this universe, but not expand on it in the universe we live in.

Marvel need a game to rival Arkham City, not another button-mashing weak game. I'm gonna write an editorial about this
