A while ago, we learned that we will see a new installment in the Arkham series with
Batman: Arkham Origins. The game is said to take place on Christmas Eve as Black Mask hires all sorts of assassins around the DC Universe for one goal: to kill the Bat. So far we have learned some of the villains that are in the game, such as Black Mask, Deathstroke, Bane, Joker, Anarky, Deadshot, and others. One that has yet to be confirmed is the Riddler, who was a huge focus in previous Arkham games, leaving over hundreds of riddles for you to collect. It seems that now we can safely say he is in the new upcoming game in the franchise. "But how?", you ask. If you have one, go get your
Gameinformer's Batman: Arkham Origins issue. On the cover you will see a Riddler trophy here:
When you enlarge it, you see this:
The guys over at BatmanArkhamVideos made a video showing the Riddler trophy and talking more about the villain:
Once again, this could be just an easter egg as The Riddler hasn't been "officially" confirmed for the game, but it's highly likely now he will return. What are your thoughts? Comment below. Peace and also
The events of Arkham Origins are set several years before Batman: Arkham Asylum, in the middle of winter in fictional Gotham City. Batman is an experienced crime-fighter, but has not yet become the veteran superhero portrayed in Arkham Asylum and Arkham City. He remains a mysterious force with even the police unsure if he is a vigilante, a myth or supernatural. Batman has battled with normal criminals and gangsters and is used to being stronger and faster than his targets, but on a snowy Christmas eve he is confronted with far more dangerous enemies: super villains tasked with killing Batman. The sadistic and brutal Black Mask has placed a bounty on the superhero, and Batman must discover why the villain harbors a deep hatred for him
