HITMAN: AGENT 47 centers on an elite assassin who was genetically engineered from conception to be the perfect killing machine, and is known only by the last two digits on the barcode tattooed on the back of his neck. He is the culmination of decades of research – and forty-six earlier Agent clones -- endowing him with unprecedented strength, speed, stamina and intelligence. His latest target is a mega-corporation that plans to unlock the secret of Agent 47’s past to create an army of killers whose powers surpass even his own. Teaming up with a young woman who may hold the secret to overcoming their powerful and clandestine enemies, 47 confronts stunning revelations about his own origins and squares off in an epic battle with his deadliest foe.

Directed by Aleksander Bach, Hitman: Agent 47 also stars Hannah Ware and Thomas Kretschmann. It's set to be released on August 28th. What do you guys think about this new look at the movie?

Looks like just another loud, dumb, CGI-laden action movie to me. Remember when if a filmmaker wanted to crash a helicopter into a building, they just crashed a helicopter into a building? Now they just CG it.

Yawn.

Okay, they are missing what makes Hitman. But with every new trailer or TV spot they are showing the assassin in the shadows, garrote, costume changes, and unique kills. Might not be like John Wick but it'll most likely be good.

The movie OK. It had some decent scenes, but it could've been a lot better. Definitely not Olyphant's fault, I thought he did a solid job. Olyphant's walk was near perfect. You see a glimpse of it in the trailer.

Olyphant was pretty awesome as Agent 47. The movie was also decently entertaining and worth some cool fightscenes.

This one also looks good for pretty much the same reasons. It doesn't have to be a direct adaptation of the (BORING) games, but it looks to be entertaining and worth watching, for sure.

I Like the first one, I think movies like this are a nod to the old shoot'em up movies of the 80s and 90s. I would love to get an adaption of Battlefield Bad Company, love that game.

@LoudLon
CG don't really bother me as much as it does other people, its cheaper and safer for the actors. We don't want anybody getting their head chopped off by a copter like in Twilight Zone.

CGI may be safer for stunts, but it is also almost always plainly obvious that it's CGI. Compare Bruce Willis ducking below two crashing CG cars in the 4th Die Hard movie to Jackie Chan plummeting off the face of a clock and landing on his head, or Zoe Bell hanging over the front of a speeding Dodge Challenger -- for real -- and tell me which one is more thrilling and has you more on the edge of your seat.

Nothing hits your harder or looks more realistic than the real thing. CGI can come close, but you're still very much aware that what you're seeing isn't really there.
