Hot on the heels of new trailers for Sony's Uncharted and Netflix's Red Notice, Universal has dropped the first official trailer for Michael Bay's upcoming action/heist thriller Ambulance, which looks to be one of the most explosive films of 2022.

The film stars Academy Award-nominee Jake Gyllenhaal (Spider-Man: Far From HomeZodiac), Primetime Emmy-winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II (The Matrix: Resurrections; Watchmen), and Eiza González (Baby Driver; Bloodshot) in the lead roles. Gyllenhaal and Abdul-Mateen II play adoptive brothers who are attempting the biggest heist in the history of Los Angeles, while Gonzalez plays an EMT that they take hostage.

The trailer arrives a few weeks after its initial debut at CinemaCon, where it was received quite favorably, and it's fair to assume the film could end up surprising at the box office in mid-February - although it will have some heavy competition opening opposite the Tom Holland/Mark Wahlberg-fronted Uncharted.

Ambulance is set to open, exclusively in theaters, on February 18.

Over one day across the streets of L.A., three lives will change forever.

In this breakneck thriller from director-producer Michael Bay, decorated veteran Will Sharp (Emmy winner Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Candyman, The Matrix Resurrections), desperate for money to cover his wife’s medical bills, asks for help from the one person he knows he shouldn’t—his adoptive brother Danny (Oscar® nominee Jake Gyllenhaal, Zodiac, Spider-Man: Far From Home). A charismatic career criminal, Danny instead offers him a score: the biggest bank heist in Los Angeles history: $32 million. With his wife’s survival on the line, Will can’t say no.

But when their getaway goes spectacularly wrong, the desperate brothers hijack an ambulance with a wounded cop clinging to life and ace EMT Cam Thompson (Eiza González, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Baby Driver) onboard. In a high-speed pursuit that never stops, Will and Danny must evade a massive, city-wide law enforcement response, keep their hostages alive, and somehow try not to kill each other, all while executing the most insane escape L.A. has ever seen.

@MosquitoFarmer - Im okay with it. Havent seen a Bay film in over a decade so...yeah. This actualy looks really entertaining and I like all of the actors involved. I did stop watching the trailer about 2/3 through though. Only because it seemed like they were showing the entire movie. Hate when trailers do that.
