Sony's upcoming action movie Bullet Train has added yet another big name to its increasingly star-studded ensemble cast. According to Deadline, Academy Award-winner Sandra Bullock has now boarded the project.
Deadpool 2 director David Leitch's high-concept thriller has already enlisted Brad Pitt, Joey King, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Andrew Koji, Zazie Beetz, Lady Gaga and Michael Shannon. No details on Bullock's role have been provided, so it's not known if she'll be playing one of the hired killers at the centre of the story.
Based on Japanese novel Maria Beetle by best-selling author Kotaro Isaka, Bullet Train follows "five assassins on a fast-moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are linked to one another. The question becomes, who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?"
The movie will be produced by Kelly McCormick through 87North, along with Antoine Fuqua. Ryosuke Saegusa and Yuma Terada of CTB Inc will exec produce. The script was penned by Zak Olkewicz (The Last Voyage of the Demeter, Fear Street 2).
Bullock's most recent project was underrated Netflix thriller Bird Box, and she's next set to star in an untitled drama for the streamer from director Nora Fingscheidt.
