Four movies in, people still think it's a Battle Royale rip-off, huh?

The first film has a similar (okay, a very similar) concept, but that's about it.

Anyway, this looks amazing. But then I'm one of the few people that loved the last movie too!

Can't stand Jennifer Lawrence, atleast it's the last one.

Well, the first book was readable...then they got progressively worse.

The first movie was crap (they ruined Prue's death), and the rest stink too.

We'll see if this one is any better (I won't see it in the theater because I don't want to waste money on crap), and we'll see if they ruin Katniss' sister's death (I don't care about spoiler alert, the books and movies are so obvious that even if you hadn't read them, you should be able to see this crap coming).

And yes... Battle Royale is way better...both the book and the movie (don't watch the garbage sequel)

@MexicanSuperman
i watched a long time ago and i thought it was nothing special too. Just a b-class movie when they killing each other one by one. At least that is how i remember it.

@DurtyTalynt

Atleast Resident Evil got right the dumb fun factor, for me The Hunger Games franchise it's just meh not enough fun, not enough action, not good drama but angst teen "drama", but whatever so many people around here love this what is for me quite surprising.

Not a bad trailer. I'll watch HG 2, 3.1 and 3.2 when the last one is out on blu-ray and I can borrow them all from friends!

I don't see how Hunger Games could be looked at as a ripoff of a book that the author has never read. There are so many stories that involve this type of thing that it's not a stretch at all that two different authors could imagine a similar scenario.

Comparing the Hunger Games to Resident Evil is like comparing Nolan's Batman movies to the '60s TV series.
