JAMES BOND 25 Director Shortlist Reportedly Includes BLADE RUNNER 2049 Helmer Denis Villenueve
The shortlist of directors in line to take over from Sam Mendes on the next Bond flick has reportedly been narrowed down to three, and Christopher Nolan is not among them! More details after the jump...
Both Christopher Nolan and Edgar Wright were recently rumoured to be in the mix to take the reigns of the iconic James Bond franchise, but it doesn't look like either one is going to be involved.
According to Deadline, the Bond 25 director shortlist has been narrowed down to three: Yann Demange, Denis Villeneuve, and David MacKenzie.
Demange directed 2014's ’71 starring Jack O’Connell, while Mackenzie helmed recent Best Picture nominee Hell or High Water. Villeneuve, meanwhile, should need no introduction 'round these parts, as he's generally regarded as one of the best filmmakers working today.
Though it hasn't been officially confirmed just yet, Daniel Craig is expected to reprise the role of 007 for the still untitled Bond 25, which currently has a release date of November 8th, 2019.
