According to The Mirror, Adele arrived yesterday to L.A to start recording the theme for this year´s Spectre. Their source at MGM reports that "everyone thinks Adele is [in L.A] for her much anticipated new album, but she is actually working on a music idea for the James Bond film". It is worth pointing out that she is not confirmed to perform the theme song but is more likely that she is writing a demo for consideration as their source says that "they´ll still have to decide wheter they want the tune once it´s recorded", a practice that the James Bond franchise has done for years.

The british singer has been long rumored to return to write the theme song, with Daniel Craig and Barbara Broccoli requesting her return. Its not hard to see why they want her back, the theme song for 2012´s Skyfall was the biggest success in charts since Madonna´s Die Another Day  in 2002 and even won an Oscar for Best Original Song. If she is selected she will be the first singer to perform more than one theme song for the franchise since Shirley Bassey, who performed 3 theme songs.

Spectre is directed by Sam Mendes and stars Daniel Craig in his fouth performance as James Bond 007 and he is joined by returning cast members Ralph Fiennes, Naomi Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw. New cast members include Léa Seydoux, Monica Bellucci, David Bautista, Andrew Scott and Christoph Waltz. Spectre is scheduled to be released on 6 November 2015.

@NoTucksGiven That does make sense, maybe too much sense?? I'm so excited though, Cumberbatch + Ejiofor 1-2 punch is phenomenal.

Don't care to have her back, I'd prefer a new take from a new artist. However, it is worth mentioning that the theme song was one of the few redeeming factors of Skyfall. Most people loved the film, but I thought it was pretty shitty.
