Last week it was reported that model newcomer Zoe Aggeliki was a sure thing for the role of Johanna Mason in the Hunger Games sequel "Catching Fire", but now THR reports that it's actually Jena Malone (Donnie Darko, Sucker Punch) who will play the ruthless and deadly ex-tribute/Hunger Games winner.

The part was apparently a very highly sought after one, as Johanna Mason is a very popular character and plays a prominent role in both Hunger Games sequel novels.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire will be directed by Francis Lawrence and is scheduled for release November 22, 2013. There is no official synopsis for the movie yet but here's a quick rundown of the novel's plot..

Catching Fire is a young adult novel by American novelist Suzanne Collins, the second book in The Hunger Games trilogy. As the sequel to the 2008 bestseller The Hunger Games, it continues the story of Katniss Everdeen and the post-apocalyptic nation of Panem. Following the events of the previous novel, a rebellion against the oppressive Capitol has begun, and Katniss and fellow tribute Peeta Mellark are forced to return to the arena in a special edition of the Hunger Games.

Casting has defied the odds and located Kristen Stewards even MORE average looking look-a-like. I wonder if she's capable of expression emotions other than gloom, disappointment and constipation?

Wow, I'm surprised.
I haven't seen much of Jena's work, but I liked her in 'Sucker Punch'.
I think she'll do well in this action film.

THIS ISN'T THE WAY I IMAGINED THIS CHARACTER IN MY HEAD! Why can't they cast someone with my exact unknown specifications?

She looks like she could be tough, and calculating--like a survivor.

Now all they have to do is make her look like she's worked in a lumber mill.
