Roberto Orci Confirms Plans To Bring LOCKE & KEY To The Big Screen As A Trilogy

After a failed television pilot, it was recently rumoured that IDW Publishing's Locke & Key was being given a second chance as a big screen trilogy from Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. Well, the latter has now confirmed that that is indeed the case!

Back in 2011, Fox decided not to give the Mark Romanek helmed TV pilot of Locke & Key the green-light, leaving many fans of Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez's comic book series wondering if they would ever get the chance to see a live action adaptation. Well, following rumours that a big screen trilogy is being written and produced by Alex Kurtzman and Robert Orci (Transformers), the latter has now taken to his Twitter account to confirm that these reports are indeed accurate. There's currently no word on a director or release date.

Writers are not always to blame for a movie being completely bad, the producers and directors can give them a lot of limitations and directives. There's only so much you can do once you've agreed do a job with a crazy director & producers.

Most of those are bad because they were led by Michael Bay & Jon Favreau.

Orci and Kurtzman's scripts for the Transformers movies were so awful that even Spielberg himself couldn't have made decent movies from them. ROTF's script was Plan 9 from Outer space-bad. The only redeeming features of those movies were the action sequences, and the writers had nothing to do with those.
