Nicholas Hoult, Glen Powell And Miles Teller In The Running For Top Gun 2 Role
It seems Top Gun 2 (tentatively titled Top Gun: Maverick) will feature the son of Anthony Edward's character Goose from the first movie. According to THR, Nicholas Hoult, Glen Powell and Miles Teller are all in the running for the highly-covered role.
Chances of Tom Cruise's returning Maverick training the young whippersnapper to be an ace pilot just like his old man? High.
Natalie Portman Would Be Up For A V For Vendetta Sequel
It seems the only role that Annihilation star Natalie Portman would have any real interest in returning to would be Evey Hammond from the big-screen adaptation of Alan Moore's V for Vendetta.
When asked if there was any movie she'd consider returning for if a sequel was announced during a recent Q&A, Portman replied, "maybe V for Vendetta."
It's possible that the current political climate influenced the actress' answer somewhat, but either way, a sequel to the underrated V remains highly unlikely.
New Poster For The Meg
The Meg hits theaters on August 10, and we have a new poster for the ridiculously entertaining (entertainingly ridiculous?) looking giant shark movie.
As you can see, the prehistoric beast is determined to make a meal of Jason Statham, which is ironic, 'cos The Stath has been making a meal of... okay, you get the picture.
Mandy Trailer
The first trailer for Nicholas Cage's new film Mandy is now online, and it's... well, just watch it!
If you've seen Panos Cosmatos’ previous movie Beyond the Black Rainbow then you might have some idea of what to expect from this nightmarish, but visually stunning horror gem.
Mandy is set for release on September 14.
First Look At Brad Pitt And Leonardo DiCaprio In Once Upon A Time In Hollywood
The first official image from Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood has been released, giving us a look at Brad Pitt (resembling a young Robert Redford) and Leonardo DiCaprio as main characters Rick Dalton and Cliff Booth.
Dalton (DiCaprio) is a former star of a western TV series, and Booth (Pitt) is his long-time stunt double. Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore, but Rick just so happens to have a very famous neighbor: Sharon Tate (Margot Robbie).
New Trailer For The Equalizer 2
Denzel Washington returns as an ultra-violent vigilante in this second trailer for the upcoming sequel to The Equalizer.
The first film wasn't very well-received by critics, but it was a bit of old-fashioned, brutal fun and clearly earned enough at the box office to warrant a follow-up.
EQ2 also stars former Game of Thrones actor Pedro Pascal, and is set to hit theaters on July 20.
Nightflyers Promo
A creepy new teaser promo for upcoming Netflix sci-fi horror series Nightflyers has been released.
The show is produced by Game of Thrones writer George R.R. Martin, and focuses on a team of scientists aboard the Nightflyer, the most advanced ship ever built, as they embark on a journey to find other life forms.
Their mission takes them to the edge of the solar system, and to the edge of insanity, as they realize true horror isn't waiting for them in outer space-it's already on their ship.
Arrow Season 7 Premiere Title Revealed
New Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz took to Twitter to reveal that the title for the season 7 premiere will be "Inmate 4587."
If you've been watching Arrow you'll know that this is a code that's popped up several times on the show (and on Legends of Tomorrow, incidentally), and now refers to Oliver Queen himself, who found himself banged up in Slabside Maximum Security Prison at the end of season 6.
Ant-Man And The Wasp World Cup Promo Poster
To celebrate the World Cup, the Marvel Latinoamérica Twitter account has shared a new promo poster for Ant-Man and The Wasp.
There's not a lot to it - it's basically just a previously seen image of Scott and Hope in miniaturized form beside a football - but footie fans should get a kick out of it.
Solo: A Star Wars Story Box Office Reference?
Finally, we have this Tweet from the Star Wars UK Twitter page which features a brief clip of Yoda from The Last Jedi, and the line, "the greatest teacher failure is."
There's speculation that this is a reference yo the disappointing box office run of Solo, and given the timing, there's a pretty good chance that's exactly what it is.
Check it out below and see what you think.
