@LFANCH - Becasue it only cost a mere $10 million to make and made $44 million worldwide. When you can shoot as cheaply and quickly as this using digital cameras and bring in a quick buck for the studio, they will happily invest that little again into a sequel especially if you can cast it even better the second time around.

He's actually managed to get Antonio Banderas, Mel Gibson, Charlie Sheen, Amber heard as well as bringing back Jessica Alba.

I really should finish watching the first movie someday...

The TnA in this movie alone makes it worth the watch. Over the top action, TnA, and a bad ass anti hero, sounds like the Eighties all over again, and I love it. F high drama, I want minigun nips, and a hero that aint a metro sexual dbag. This movie sound awsomely bad, in a good way.

I ran into her a couple of years back at a mall down here in Miami, she wasnt all dolled up & she is stunning in person as she is on TV & pictures...she is pretty short, I thought she be taller. Super sweet & friendly too.

The first one was great fun. I do think this poster is a little stupid but I get the FDTD/Desperado reference. I just hope it's the same kind of over-the-top as Machete and not something else.

Also, when they FIRST introduced DeNiro, that commercial, I was genuinely offended: Mission Accomplished Rodriguez! I remember being in shock thinking, Rodriguez DOES remember he's Mexican right? He does? Oh, I get it now, it's a movie, okay, thanks.
