Tom Cruise & Cobie Smulders Feature On A Fiery New International Poster For JACK REACHER: NEVER GO BACK

Following last week's official poster reveal and extended TV spot release, Paramount Pictures UK has debuted another sweet new poster for their upcoming Ed Zwick-directed action sequel Jack Reacher: Never Go Back.

Unlike the domestic poster, which featured Tom Cruise flying solo in front of an American flag, this time he's joined by his kick-ass co-star Cobie Smulders (Avengers: Age of Ultron) and neither of them look all too pleased with their current predicament. We also catch an early look at one of the film's elaborate action sequences as Cruise is seen pictured firing off a machine gun of some sort at an unseen foe, which may or may not be the cause of that massive explosion we've seen teased in the trailers. Check out the new poster below:

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back follows the title character as he returns to Virginia to meet the head of his former unit. But she's missing, he's being charged with a crime committed nearly 20 years ago, and he may even have a daughter. Making things right will lead him on a cross-country chase to uncover the truth - and maybe even a family.

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back features:
Director: Ed Zwick
Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher
Cobie Smulders as Susan Turner
Danika Yarosh in an undisclosed role
Aldis Hodge in an undisclosed role
Patrick Heusinger as The Hunter
Holt McCallany in an undisclosed role
Austin Hébert in an undisclosed role
Robert Catrini in an undisclosed role
Robert Knepper as General Harkness

Jack Reacher: Never Go Back hits theaters October 21

That is a horrible subtitle. And the "Tom Cruise" feels misplaced, or it's too big. Blends in with the title.

@YouDontKnowMe -

But nope put Tom Cruise in everything. I mean some rolls it works, but seriously?

There's a list of his movies where i know it would've been better had it gone to another actor.

Something tells me this won't be as good as the first. McQuarrie gave that film a very old school, 1970s Bullit slow burn feel. This just looks like a run of the mill action film with a straight to DVD type of feel.

@ComicsBornAndBred - I had this same point talking to my friend about an hour ago.

I don't think it will be as magical as the first.

@ALostCause - Christopher McQuarrie brought something unique to the first. Obviously, Tom Cruise has brought him over to the Mission Impossible franchise now so...which is great.

But I'll miss him. I want to see him do another smaller flm like Reacher.
