STRANGE WORLD: Disney Unveils Logo And Concept Art For Its Next Animated Feature

Walt Disney Animation Studios has revealed a first look at its next animated feature film Strange World, which will take us on a journey "deep into an uncharted and treacherous land."

We had no idea this one was even in development, but Walt Disney Studios has just unveiled a first look at an upcoming animated sci-fi feature known as Strange World.

Inspired by the pulp magazines and popular fiction from the first half of the 20th century, this original action-adventure "journeys deep into an uncharted and treacherous land where fantastical creatures await the legendary Clades, a family of explorers whose differences threaten to topple their latest—and by far— most crucial mission."

“I loved reading the old issues of pulps growing up,” said director Don Hall. “They were big adventures in which a group of explorers might discover a hidden world or ancient creatures. They’ve been a huge inspiration for Strange World.”

Check out some concept art and the title logo below.

The voice cast is yet to be announced, but we're expecting an update to follow shortly.

Hall (Big Hero 6, Raya and the Last Dragon) will co-direct/write with Qui Nguyen (Raya and the Last Dragon). Roy Conli (Big Hero 6, Tangled) will produce. Strange World is set for release on November 23, 2022.
