#RESTORETHESNYDERVERSE Trends On Twitter Following HBO Max Presentation
The #RestoreTheSnyderVerse movement began trending on Twitter following Zack Snyder's Justice League being described as a "global phenomenon" during an HBO Max presentation tonight.
It seems the tide is rising once again for Zack Snyder's version of the DC Film Universe. Earlier this year, Warner Bros. released the highly anticipated Zack Snyder's Justice League on HBO Max. The film marked the director's farewell to the DCEU, but some weren't ready to say goodbye. Snyder famously had an overarching plan for the DC Universe and so, once the 2021 version of Justice League was released, many of his fans demanded that the director be allowed to continue his vision.
With that, the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement turned into #RestoreTheSnyderVerse. Over time, demand for such a continuation seemed to die down, but the movement appears to have picked up steam once again.
To celebrate the European launch of HBO Max, Warner Bros. released a presentation showcasing the platform. During said presentation, President of Warner Media EMEA and Asia, Priya Dogra, referred to Zack Snyder's Justice League as a "global phenomenon" while discussing all the DC movies that would be available on HBO Max:
"We've got the most iconic movies coming to the platform in the months ahead, including Joker and Batman vs [sic] Superman [...] As well as the global phenomenon that is Zack Snyder's Justice League."

Zack Snyder's Justice League being labeled a global phenomenon by someone from Warner Bros. reignited fans' desire to see the director's version of the DC Universe continue. So much so, that #RestoreTheSnyderVerse started trending on Twitter once again:

Let me get this straight. This trending event wasn’t planned. It just happened from a 5 second clip of a Warner media executive calling ZSJL a “Global Phenomenon”? And Snyder antis are trying to convince me there’s no demand for the Snyderverse? #RestoreTheSnyderverse pic.twitter.com/1Gz2p647Jd

Imagine trending with over 1.5M tweets, effectively breaking Endgame's impressive record, and NOT thinking it is a global phenomenon. Wouldn't be me 🚶♀️#RestoreTheSnyderVerse pic.twitter.com/VJ6ZO7tmbX

While the demand is there from a vocal portion of the fandom, it's unlikely that Warner Bros. will feel compelled to continue Snyder's DC Universe. After all, a few thousand tweets don't necessarily equal viewership or theater attendees. Furthermore, earlier in 2021, while speaking with Variety, WarnerMedia CEO Ann Sarnoff stated that Zack Snyder's Justice League marked the conclusion of Snyder's DC journey:
"[We're] just so happy that he could bring his cut of the Justice League to life [...] With that comes the completion of his trilogy."
With this in mind, it doesn't look like the #RestoreTheSnyderVerse movement is going to come to much - though that doesn't seen to have dissuaded the filmmaker's legion of devotees!
