A couple of days ago, we learned that Hulu has pulled the plug on M.O.D.O.K. That wasn't remotely surprising with Marvel Studios now in charge of small screen storytelling, and the expectation is that Hit-Monkey will be the next and final Marvel Television show on the chopping block.
Once upon a time, the plan at Hulu had been to launch a slate of animated Marvel TV shows, including Howard the Duck and Tigra & Dazzler. Eventually, they would have crossed over in an event dubbed "The Offenders," but that won't happen now and Marvel Studios has its own slate of animated projects in the works for Disney+ (including Spider-Man: Freshman Year and Marvel Zombies).
Now, M.O.D.O.K. star Patton Oswalt has shared his reaction to the show's cancellation.
As you might expect, the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Eternals actor is pretty disappointed. However, he'll still have a role to play in the MCU as Pip the Troll (fingers crossed the VFX are a little better when he returns), and M.O.D.O.K. fans might want to keep an eye on Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania.
Were you said to bid farewell to M.O.D.O.K. after just a single season on Hulu?
