Netflix has released the first full trailer for Adam McKay's (Vice, The Big Short) upcoming sci-fi satire, Don't Look Up.

Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio play a pair of low-level astronomers, Kate Dibiasky and Dr. Randall Mindy, who must go on a giant media tour to warn mankind of an approaching asteroid that will destroy all life on the planet. Meryl Streep plays U.S. President Janie Orlean, while Jonah Hill portrays her son and chief-of-staff Jason.

They'll be joined by an all-star cast consisting of Cate Blanchett, Tyler Perry, Rob Morgan, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, Timothée Chalamet, Ariana Grande, Scott Mescudi (aka Kid Cudi), Himesh Patel, Melanie Lynskey, Michael Chiklis, Tomer Sisley, and Chris Evans in a minor cameo role (presumably not playing himself as he did in a recent movie).

The teaser focuses on Dibiasky and Mindy's attempt to spur the President into action upon being made aware of mankind's imminent destruction, and the farcical media storm that ensues. McKay's work tends to be pretty divisive, but this does actually look pretty funny.

Check out the trailer for yourselves along with a new poster, and let us know what you think.

"Kate Dibiasky (Jennifer Lawrence), an astronomy grad student, along with her professor Dr. Randall Mindy (Leonardo DiCaprio) make an astounding discovery of a comet orbiting within the solar system. The problem — it’s on a direct collision course with Earth. The other problem? No one really seems to care. Turns out warning mankind about a planet-killer the size of Everest is an inconvenient fact to navigate."

Don't Look Up is set for release in select theaters on December 10th, before hitting Netflix on December 24th.
