The witching hour is upon WIT Studio (best known for their work on the awe-inspiring anime Attack on Titan, SPY x FAMILY, and Great Pretender) after announcing an intriguing new project today. What's the new project? A "planning/production team" for a vertical manga series that will use their animators and "dynamic graphic expression" that the studio has established through experience over the last ten years.
They also unveiled their first title, Estee: Successor of the First Magic (Estee: Successor of the First Magic), which is based in the world of FUZI's Wizards Nova novels and music videos. Together, with members of the WIT Studio crew, they have created the "creator group" that is writing the manga's script.
Check out the list of the group's members below:
- Creative Producer: Keisuke Sato (The Girl from the Other Side design manager)

About the Estee: Successor of the First Magic manga:
Wands and spells. These are what wizards needed to work miracles… until magical augmentation equipment called "Apparatus" made those old robe-wearers a thing of the past.
Meet Estee, a wizard who grew up in the sticks and, despite being trained from a young age in traditional magic by her grandmother, struggles with even the most basic spells. Refusing to give up on her dream of becoming a fully-fledged wizard, she leaves her hometown to attend a magic school in the city, where she becomes embroiled in a battle to save the world.
Spirits of the dead? A ghost town? An adventure of miracles and curses begins!
On the HykeComic service, where Estee: Hajimari no Mahou wa Tsugumono will begin publishing on June 25, a prologue chapter is available to read. Click HERE to read it for yourself!
