The one good thing about this manga getting turned into a live action film, is I'm going to be ok with the whitewashing. I could see this being a great film, if Sony really puts their time into the movie. I think Andres Muschietti would be a good director for the movie. He may have his hands full with the making Shadow of the Colossus, but after that is done filming I could see him make this movie.

How are they going to make a movie of giant naked people running around biting people in half lol .

Somethings just shouldn't be turn into movie,this one I'm on the fence about because as the anime has some unanswered question which could complicate the movie.Plus there the fact that the last movie featuring men vs giants didn't do so well.

"How are they going to make a movie of giant naked people running around biting people in half lol"

I'd say with a mix of CGI and practical effects, plus an R-rating. ;)

@Melkaticox

Are you adding those to the list of anime shows that need to be adapted in America to be done justice? If so, I agree.

Any anime that has any type of crazy action should not be made in Japan. They just don't have the capabilities to translate the spectacle of the shows. Main reason why I think that is because the Casshern movie was so horrible.

I still need to see Gatchaman, that looked pretty decent.

Two years ago I would've told you Sword Art Online was a show that deserved a live action film. But lately, it's turned into nothing but pure unadulterated garbage.

Steer clear.

lol this show [frick]ing sucks. it has no depth, no heart, no solid story -so to generate some sort of emotional response in the viewers, they kill random characters off, actually like most of the characters, even ones we JUST got introduced to... that shit is lame.

using the shock and awe component over and over again proves that the writer has no true story sense or writing capabilities
CombatWombat

Urgh, why Sony? Why couldn't it have at least been Warner Bros.?

@Pasto
At what point does it start going downhill? I'm watching it now but I'd rather not sink more time into something that's just going to crash and burn...

Ugh, SONY... Please, don't waste your time and money on this crap... It's just so generic and boring.

Attack on titan is bad ass. Some people have clearly never read the manga saying its generic and with no depth.

Attack On Titan is one of the best animes to come out and be insanely successful in a very long time. Next to Sword Art Online, of course.
