ABC News reveals that Detective Conan's 15th movie, Quarter of Silence, ranks 5th at the worldwide box-office of the past week-end, grossing the equivalent of 6,6 millions dollars on its opening week-end.

It comes after big successes such as Rio and Scream 4. But, unlike the other movies, Detective Conan is not an international release, meaning the grossing revenues are only made on the japanese territory.

Detective Conan is the story of high-school detective Shinichi Kudo who, after being drugged by a mysterious organization, transforms into the child Conan Edogawa. Helping incompetent private detective Kogoro Mouri to resolve cases, he tries to find the men in black responsible of his curse with the hope to find a cure.

The 15th movie of the Detective Conan saga, Quarter of Silence was released on April, 16th.

One Truth Prevails: Detective Conan definitely rocks in his country !

As great as anime is there is this sad one concept that befalls most characters...they never change. Like seriously, Pokemon has been out forever and he hasnt changed a bit. You would think Conan would have been able to turn back into a teen again, or that the chick he loves would get older or sumthin. At least Naruto is on they shyt.

Well, Conan turning back into Shinichi and being reunited with Tan would mean the end of the series. And the story of the series is his war against the Black Organization.

But the story has evolved a lot since the beginning (and that's the most important), with the confrontations with Gin, Vodka, Vermouth, Kir and now Bourbon, and several of the fillers arcs which expand further the mythology of the series.

But I don't think the series will last indefinitely now. Aoyama knows what conclusion he wants to give to the series and I don't think Conan is that far from discovering the identity of the boss of the organization (he has already some clues).
