Jujutsu Kaisen 0 landed in North American theaters last month, which included screenings in IMAX. The film continues to perform well globally, and is doing especially great at the Japanese Box Office.

To date, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has earned over 13.42 billion yen ($117.84 million US) with almost 10 million tickets sold. The film has earned "blockbuster" status and has moved to 18th on the all-time Japanese domestic charts. It is currently on track to surpass Princess Mononoke, and several other popular US films including Harry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanArmageddon, and E.T. the Extra Terrestrial.

Combined, those movies earned more than 13 billion yen at the Japanese box office.

Earning over $168 million US, with North American ticket sales making up more than $33 million of the total, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has also done very well internationally. It's staying just ahead of Spider-Man: No Way Home in the 8th place of current releases.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season of the popular superantural Jujutsu Kaisen anime as it aired in Japan. It also released English dubs for the series a little later. Crunchyroll released the prequel anime film Jujutsu Kaisen in North American theaters on March 19th, with more territories following through the months of March and April.

The second season of Jujutsu Kaisen will premiere on Japanese television next year (2023) and MAPPA has been confirmed to be returning as the studio responsible for animating the much anticipated second season. A premiere date has yet to be officially announced.

The Jujutsu Kaisen anime series is based upon the best-selling manga of the same name. It was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump and has sold more than 60 million copies in Japan. VIZ Media publishes the series in the United States. Jujutsu Kaisen was named "Anime of the Year" by the Crunchyroll Anime Awards in 2021.

The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll with both English subbed and dubbed episodes available.

Kinda wish this article told me anything about the anime other than its a Supernatural anime. And it's very popular.

@ElricReturns - It's basically Yu Yu Hakusho, some Bleach, but "darker" I guess you could say. I'm only using quotation marks because I'm rather desensitized so I don't personally think it's that dark, but someone less familiar might say it is.

On another personal note I enjoy reading it, but it isn't exactly breaking new ground.

@Reeds2Much - well I love Yu Yu Hakusho, never got into Bleach. Hmmmm. I do like "dark" animes. I may check it out. Thanks for some further context.

@ElricReturns - My bro keeps telling me to watch it. I'm not super enamored with the soundtrack, but I will check out the show just because of Satoru Gojo. The displays of skill and power are good though apparently.

@The1st - It's one of my favorite animes out right now. The action sequences are amazing and the story is pretty entertaining.

@TheDoctor1225 - Probably best Flash ends soon. Shows tend to start spinning their wheels and just repeating themselves after eight seasons, and Flash already had that with how often they use the "Barry loses to villain speedster, Barry powers up his Gotta Go Fastitude, wins, repeat" formula.

Martin already felt like he was just showing up, giving an inspirational speech, and then buggering off like Tuxedo Mask so I can't imagine this downgrade will be all that noticeable.

(I never understood how Frozen got so popular in the first place.)

Never saw anime never heard of movie until I looked on fandango for movie listing this was second anime I saw in theaters someday I will watch anime series sucks anime isn’t as popular in America as it should it’s probably reason new transformer fans never like transformers begin with until bay made his live action debut of transformers adults and Americans don’t like animated movies unless they have kids 90 percent of them maybe more .,

For anime movie that have no advertisement for it surprised it made top five in America
