A new key image (below) has been published to celebrate the September debut of the popular anime series Kengan Ashura, the Netflix original 3DCG animation based on the brutal martial arts manga series by Sandrovich Yabako and Daromeon. Check it out!

Written by Yabako Sandrovich and illustrated by Daromeon, the Kengan Ashura manga began serialization in the Shogakukan Manga ONE app in April 2012 and concluded its original run in August 2018 at 26 volumes. Recently, a continuation of the series was started in January 2019 and currently has one published volume.

The series is set in a world where businesses make acquisitions and advancements based on the outcome of MMA-style fights between corporate-sponsored fighters.

Netflix describes the story of Kengan Ashura as follows:

Ohma Tokita enters a hidden world where corporate disputes are settled in brutal gladiator bouts. Forget the money, he just wants to fight -- and win.

Never heard about this, but sounds pretty cool. Reminds me a lot of that Street Fighter anime on Netflix nobody talked about. September is a long way off though

@bkmeijer1 -

Street Fighter anime on Netflix? No such thing. Unless you are referring to Hi Score Girl, which basically does nothing but reference Street Fighter in Fighting Game Perspective.

@MahN166A - you're right, there is no such thing. I was thinking of the Tekken anime (which I also saw nobody mention).

I tried some Japanese anime & really thought they sucked.
