OLDBOY follows the story of an advertising executive (Josh Brolin) who is kidnapped and held hostage for 20 years in solitary confinement without any indication of his captor’s motive. When he is inexplicably released, he embarks on an obsessive mission to discover who orchestrated his bizarre and torturous punishment only to find he is still trapped in a web of conspiracy and torment. His quest for revenge leads him into an ill-fated relationship with a young social worker (Elizabeth Olsen) and ultimately to an illusive man (Sharlto Copley) who allegedly holds the key to his salvation.

Oldboy hits theaters November 27th, 2013.

If Spike Lee really wants to seperate his version of the film from the original then he should follow the source material more closely. Preferably the ending.

The Cast is good, just one actor Michael imeriloni or whatever sucked balls. Of course I never saw the final product it was just bare basic film. No cgi or editing or even music

For people who saw the original korean movie Spike Lee version look like EXACTLY the same, frame by frame, I don't know if it is a good thing because on one hand it's faithful to the original material but on the other hand it means the director has absolutely NO vision whatsoever for his movie.

Still really want to see it for the cast but have the feeling any director could have done this copycat movie.

I still don't like how this seems to be a remake of the korean movie instead of something ACTUALLY sticking to the original story.
