Wolverine Anime Episode 9 Pics and Preview

Marvel and G4 have released a preview clip and 8 screenshots from the ninth episode of Wolverine the Anime.

Logan and Yukio must fight through the dangerous streets of Madripoor if they hope to rescue Mariko in a new episode of "Wolverine," premiering Friday, September 23 at 11:30 p.m. ET on G4!

Since changing from Dish Network to Direct TV I no longer get G4TV, so I will leave it up to you guys to inform readers if this is a decent show or not. So the question is, what do you think of Wolverine the Anime? Is good? Bad? Or somewhere in between?

I don't like this show at all. I tried to watch it, but I couldn't even get through an entire episode...it's pretty bad. I really like Hugh Jackman as Wolvie in the movies, but he's just not Wolvie in a physical sense, too tall and not quite bulky enough, and doesn't really have that "weathered" look that Logan should have, and unfortunately they modeled this show after him...and quite badly I might add. I also like Milo Ventimiglia as an actor, but his voice just doesn't fit this character..this show is a fail..IMO

Sorry, but Logan's visual is unbearable. I can't even start on analyzing the rest.

What I can't understand is that, though I'm not a big fan of anime, japanese animations have a style for a guy like Logan already in other cartoons.

Why making him such a 20-something wimp look like?

I don't mind it. I think everyone is hating because they can't deal with change. Marvel gave Madhouse free reign to do with their characters as they please, AND all these stories take place in Japan. So let them have their fun with it. I could be much better though. I am looking forward to the X-men and Blade animes though.

I know this wolverine sucks but I do know Wolverine is a lot better in the X-men anime he looks better and sounds better trust me so I cant wait for that

They should've sticked with good 'ol Steve Blum (Marvel vs Capcom 3, Wolverine and the X-Men).

I'm so glad to see taht almost everyone agrees that this show is complete shit. I watched the clip and it makes me want to wrap my hands around the TV Exec that approved this show and squeeze until his beedy little eyes poped out of his head.

I haven't seen this, but the design for Logan looks awful. The hairstyle and the tall skinny build just put me off.

ANY anime dubbed in english sucks. ANY asian or other foreing language film dubbed in english sucks. English language has the horrible tendency to turn otherwise dramatic stuff into stupid goofball comedies. That´s why i NEVER watch any dubbed stuff.

I love anime, and the animation for the show isn't bad. But for some reason Wolverine just isn't translating well to the anime style as i thought it would.
