X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Actress Lana Condor Joins The Cast Of ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL As Koyumi
The latest addition to the expanding cast of the James Cameron-produced live-action adaptation of Battle Angel Alita is Lana Condor, who appeared (briefly) as Jubilee in X-Men: Apocalypse...
Lana Condor was undeniably underused as Jubilee in Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse (you can check out some of her excised moments in these deleted scenes), but the young actress will hopefully have a bit more to do in the live-action adaptation of classic manga, Alita: Battle Angel.
Condor will play a character named Koyomi, who appears in Yukito Kishiro’s source material as an orphaned teen who was adopted as a baby by Walsh, the former proprietor of Bar Kansas. She joins an already very impressive cast that includes the likes of Mahershala Ali, Christoph Waltz, Jackie Earle Haley, Ed Skrein and Rosa Salazar as the cyborg warrior of the title.
Robert Rodriguez will helm Alita: Battle Angel, which is set to commence production very soon.
