Spoilers for upcoming superhero movies finding their way online via tie-in marketing almost seems inevitable at this point, and while this doesn't really count as a major reveal, a new Avengers: Doomsday Jeep commercial gives us a first look at Doctor Doom's homeland.

The advert features Steve Rogers, The Thing, and Johnny Storm travelling through various locations before ending up in Latveria. We get a quick glimpse of the gargantuan Doomstadt Tower rising up behind the villain's castle.

The tower has previously featured in promo art, but this is our first live-action look at Doom's Latverian stronghold.

Thanks to the From Endgame to Doomsday: A Marvel Studios Visual Dictionary: Avengers, Allies, and Foes book, we also have a first look at Doom's book of spells, along with an updated synopsis and character breakdown.

“The fearsome Victor Von Doom is the mysterious and enigmatic monarch of Latveria. He is master of both sorcery and technology with an intellect to rival Reed Richards's and a will to match. He shares a rich and complex history with The Fantastic Four, his country being noticeably absent from gatherings of Sue Storm's Future Foundation.”

“As a new existential threat emerges, courageous teams from three universes must come together to prevent a catastrophic event. The Avengers, the New Avengers, the Wakandans, the Fantastic Four, and the X-Men will need to put aside their suspicions of each other to work together against a force more powerful than any of these groups have faced before. Their choices and actions in this crucial moment will lay the foundation for the future of the Multiverse.”

Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars were hit with significant delays last year, with Doomsday now set to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2026, and Secret Wars positioned for December 17, 2027.

Both movies will be directed by the Russo brothers, who also make their MCU return after helming Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

"Universes collide and the Multiverse Saga begins its final chapter in Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Doomsday. Beloved heroes from three distinct universes will be set on a deadly collision course and ultimately face an existential threat unlike anything they’ve ever encountered. This epic film will lay the foundation for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe."

Doomsday will star:

Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Simu Liu as Shang-Chi, Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Lewis Pullman as Sentry, Florence Pugh as Yelena, Danny Ramirez as Falcon, Ian McKellen as Magneto, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Winston Duke as M’Baku, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Kelsey Grammer as Beast, James Marsden as Cyclops, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent

Along with Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm, Rebecca Romijn as Mystique, Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Alan Cumming as Nightcrawler, Letitia Wright as Black Panther, Tenoch Huerta Mejia as Namor, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Ebon Moss-Bachrach as The Thing, Anthony Mackie as Captain America, and, of course, Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom.

We got about a month or whatever to go, and at this point I don't REALLY know much about the actual story, bso I think I'm going to try to keep it that way. I may still check out some articles but for the most part I'm going to avoid reading too much until it's released.

@TheAmericanHero - I’m debating whether or not to even watch the second trailer…

I can barely see the rest of Latveria in this commercial which i hope isn’t the case in the film itself aswell (it’s better in the still image)…

I do like the design of the gigantic Doomstadt tower though is Doom’s palace in front of it?.

Anyway in regards to Doom’s “Book of Spells” , it could be a version of the Word of God from the comics or maybe even The Darkhold of Earth 828 but we’ll see!!.

I've played enough E33 to recognize a Lune weapon when I see one.

This will be the highest grossing slop of all time.

I remember that Scott Lang scene joking about the Captains and look at Thor in the background having no reaction whatsoever looking like a dork - obviously pasted and might even be CGI or AI

And Thor giving Cap Mjolnir and the actors not even together.

And a lot more.

Yep, slop

@vectorsigma -

- can't deny it being a success, call it "highest grossing"
- can't fathom it being any good, call it "slop"

@TemporarilyHere - I love the argument that just because it made a lot of money it's instantaneously an amazing movie. Jurassic World movies, Bayformers movies, 90% of the Snyderverse.. need I go on?

I was hoping for something a little more medieval for his castle, but maybe they're saving that for Secret Wars.
