Namor actor Tenoch Huerta Mejia was in attendance at San Diego Comic-Con yesterday evening as Marvel Studios took its familiar place at Hall H on Saturday.

Following the panel, Mejia gave some interesting remarks about two women in Namor's life that have close ties to the underwater king in the pages of Marvel Comics.  In Avengers: Doomsday, it seems those relationships will be explored in detail.

Up first was Namor's interaction with Sue Storm, played by Vanessa Kirby. In Marvel Comics lore, Sue and Namor have a close, and at times, romantic relationship, with Namor mostly engaged in a one-sided pursuit of Sue.

In the officially released footage, it's clear that Sue and Namor cross paths in the MCU for the first time in Doomsday, as it seems that the Fantastic Four will broker peace between Wakanda and Talokan (Atlantis).

When asked about Namor's reaction and first impression of Sue Storm,  Mejia stated, "This energy, this woman who is powerful...he's like, 'Okay, she's protecting her family, her world.' And she's a leader, and not a tyrannical leader. And in real life, when you know that kind of person, that's impressive."

"And for Namor, that happened with Sue. The Wakandans are there, and we are not enemies anymore, not at the moment, not right now. We need to join together to defeat this big threat. And everything happens because Sue Storm just pushes all the action in terms of Namor and this world..."

Doomsday Namor and Wakanda

Another comic book character that has an intense relationship with Namor in the comics and in the MCU is Shuri, played by Letitia Wright.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Namor and Shuri were developing a close relationship when he took her to Talokan, but that took a sharp left turn when Namor attacked Wakanda and killed her mother.

Now in Doomsday, it seems that relationship is evolving again, as Shuri will be the one to reach out to Namor and ask him for help in stopping Robert Downey Jr's Doom and the threat of what is believed to be an Incursion, a cosmic event from the 2015 Secret Wars comic book crossover where two universes/realities collide and both are destroyed.

On Shuri confronting Namor, Mejia stated, "These two guys, they have history, they have a story, and they hurt each other; maybe they hate each other. But maybe they can recognize themselves in the other's face. And from that connection, she asks him to make a big decision, a really, really hard decision. And because of her, because she says, 'You must,' he can understand and say okay. When your enemy tells you something like that, it's painful...but I'm here in front of you, humbly asking you to do this. Oh my god, as an actor, it blows my mind. "

Wasn't this guy accused of rape?
I couldn't find any current information on it.
Does anyone know if he's been charged?

@Feralwookiee - Social media accusations from an ex-girlfriend, but no charges filed. He said it was an extortion attempt after he dumped her.
