AVENGERS Concept Art Features A Young Thanos Alongside His Eternals Family Members

We're not sure whether this early concept art was created for Avengers: Infinity War or Endgame, but it looks like Marvel and the Russo Brothers were considering a flashback to Thanos' youth at some point.

It looks like Marvel Studios and the Russo Brothers may have been considering a flashback to Thanos' youth that would have introduced The Eternals.

Artist Ryan Lang (via Marveltalk) has shared some previously unseen concept art (presumably for either Avengers: Infinity War or Endgame), and it gives us a look at some very early designs for a younger Mad Titan and his Eternals family.

In the caption of the since deleted Instagram post, Lang reveals that he was "asked to visualize what Eternals looked like next to a young Thanos. I think there was a flashback at one point."

According to Marvel Comics lore, Thanos is an Eternal-Deviant hybrid and the son of an Eternal named A'lars. This was confirmed to be canon in Infinity War during his encounter with The Red Skull on Vormir, so there's every chance it could also factor into Marvel's plans for The Eternals movie.
