AVENGERS Concept Art Features A Young Thanos Alongside His Eternals Family Members

We're not sure whether this early concept art was created for Avengers: Infinity War or Endgame, but it looks like Marvel and the Russo Brothers were considering a flashback to Thanos' youth at some point.

It looks like Marvel Studios and the Russo Brothers may have been considering a flashback to Thanos' youth that would have introduced The Eternals.

Artist Ryan Lang (via Marveltalk) has shared some previously unseen concept art (presumably for either Avengers: Infinity War or Endgame), and it gives us a look at some very early designs for a younger Mad Titan and his Eternals family.

In the caption of the since deleted Instagram post, Lang reveals that he was "asked to visualize what Eternals looked like next to a young Thanos. I think there was a flashback at one point."

According to Marvel Comics lore, Thanos is an Eternal-Deviant hybrid and the son of an Eternal named A'lars. This was confirmed to be canon in Infinity War during his encounter with The Red Skull on Vormir, so there's every chance it could also factor into Marvel's plans for The Eternals movie.

@educaz - Titans are Eternals. Thanos is a Titanian Eternal who is also a Deviant, as he was born with the Deviant gene.

Thanos: “But mom! I really think if I wipe half of humanity, everything will be normal! It’ll be like... balanced and s***.”

Mother of Thanos: “I said no. Now go do your homework.”

Why was Titan in the state it was? Why couldn't they go find a second planet for it's people. They had ships.

What if Thanos was the one who wrecked his planet?

@KingCipher @MultiMedia996

You should both read the "Thanos: Titan Consumed" novel by Barry Lyga - it's canon to the MCU and is a prequel about Thanos' childhood on Titan.

Titan was in the state it was because Thanos warned everyone on the planet (including his father) of the disaster that would happen due to overpopulation. His father was one of the most respected people on the planet and since he ignored Thanos' warnings (and called his own son "mad"), no one else listened. So they didn't evacuate either. Thanos was sent to exile off the planet by his own father and then later the planet perished while he was off in space.

As for the large buildings on Titan, these aren't ships, but living complexes.
