Avengers: Endgame may now be in the rear-view mirror for fans as we begin to look ahead to 2020, but its impact will continue to be felt for a long time. Now, Marvel Studios Head of Visual Development Ryan Meinerding has shared the full cover for the movie's recently released "Art of" book.

As you can see, it depicts the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Trinity" (Captain America, Iron Man, and Thor) taking on Thanos during Avengers: Endgame's jaw-dropping final battle.

Poor Tony Stark comes off worse for wear here as a blow from the Mad Titan's sword sends him flying, while Captain America attempts to take down the villain with a sneak attack from behind. Thor, meanwhile, is using the power of both Mjolnir and Stormbreaker to try to bring down his foe.

"Loved this fight in the film!" Meinerding says. "So much fun doing this frame for the film."

You can see some closer, hi-res shots of this battle along with previously released Avengers: Endgame concept art by hitting the "View List" button. Otherwise, the full piece can be seen below.

Wish we'd seen a final battle that looked like the concept art we got here. The size altering with Giant Man looked really fun and would have provided some awesome visuals.

It's The Big Three not Trinity.

In IW Iron Man hung in there with Thanos (with 4 stones) for a few minutes. Cap, ok he only stopped him for a few seconds. Thor could have have killed a Thanos(with all 6 stones) if he went for the quick kill. But the 3 of them against a stoneless Thanos got beat. Really, they should have mopped the floor with him but I get it they had to set up the assemble scene. Also, it could have been choreographed better. When Thor hit his hammer with his axe and hits IM instead of Thanos and knocks him out I thought that poorly written.

@CplHicks - Keep in mind that IW Thanos was more reserved almost a holy man if you will, who was trying to accomplish his goal without unnecessary casualties. He only ever tried to kill one Avenger in the heat of battle, that being Stark but spared him when Strange offered the stone.

In Endgame Thanos held nothing back and fought with more ferocity. He tried very hard to plant Stormbreaker in Thor's chest and savagely hacked Cap's shield to pieces. Thanos was so vastly different in each movie that it makes sense why it played out that way.

@LongMayHeReign - My favorite part of Endgame was the differences in Thanos.

IW begins with Thanos engaging in combat as though he hasn't in a long time. Endgame Thanos is still reveling in bloodshed.

Endgame Thanos also has the knowledge that he will one day be killed by these men. He knows what they are capable of and fights differently. His goal becomes to wipe out all life starting with them.

@fadersdream - Exactly! IW Thanos was a wise man on a journey to fulfill an inner calling, Endgame Thanos was a true Warlord in every sense of the word.

Marvel doesn't have a trinity.

That's an idiotic DC thing.
Christlike, god powers lowering
themselves to fight street thugs.
