AVENGERS: ENDGAME - Two More Major Details Have Been Spotted In The Latest Trailer

Earlier this week, Marvel Studios unexpectedly released a new Avengers: Endgame trailer and while it was relatively spoiler-free, fans continue to spot reveals that shed some light on what's to come...

Marvel Studios is being careful not to reveal any spoilers for Avengers: Endgame in marketing materials but that doesn't mean that there weren't a lot of exciting clues in the latest trailer!

While we've already taken a closer look at the teaser, eagle-eyed fans have now noticed even more details that were seemingly missed by most of us the first time around. For starters, those scenes featuring Jeremy Renner's Clint Barton teaching a young woman (Kate Bishop?) to use a bow are clearly flashbacks because he's wearing an ankle monitor (but seemingly isn't under house arrest like Scott Lang was).

Presumably, he'll witness this mysterious character turn to dust before returning home to discover that the same fate has befallen his entire family, hence why he ends up ditching his Hawkeye persona to become Ronin.

It's also worth noting that the scene featuring Clint and Black Widow doesn't take place on a Quinjet; they're actually on the Benetar, so you have to wonder whether Iron Man completely rebuilds the ship into a vessel capable of carrying Earth's Mightiest Heroes into outer space...or the Quantum Realm!

What do you guys think about these newly revealed Avengers: Endgame details? Be sure to let us know if you caught any additional secrets in the comments section below.

Hit the "View List" button for a recap of the secrets the trailer does - and doesn't reveal!

Spoiler: Iron Man Makes It Back To Earth

We knew Tony Stark was never going to die in outer space but the final team shot in this trailer confirms that not only does Iron Man return to Earth, but he also happily follows Captain America into battle. The two heroes had a sizeable falling out in Captain America: Civil War but Steve Rogers is the one leading this group.

Nebula is also there, of course, and it's now clear that the unlikely friendship Karen Gillan talked about the character striking up is indeed with Iron Man, and them making it back to our planet is what leads to her joining Earth's Mightiest Heroes and helping in this final battle against the Mad Titan.

What Are The White Suits For?

Marvel Studios may have finally decided to officially reveal those white costumes we've seen in leaked promo art, action figures, and LEGO sets, but no context is offered here in regards to what their significance is.

What we can see is that everyone is wearing them, including War Machine and Iron Man; the question is, why would two heroes who have their own suits need to don these if they're only going to be used for a trip into outer space? There has to be more to them than meets the eye, but Marvel is clearly going to keep us waiting for answers.

There's a good chance that these are tied to the Quantum Realm and/or time-travel.

Spoiler: Captain Marvel Joins The Team

If you've seen Captain Marvel, then it's no great surprise to learn that Carol Danvers is now a member of this team. However, we now know for sure that she's quickly integrated into the ranks of Earth's Mightiest Heroes because the final scene sees Carol being accepted by Thor after not flinching away from him summoning Stormbreaker.

This puts to rest the theories and rumours that Captain Marvel will end up squaring off with the team during their first meeting and seeing as the way she joins The Avengers was once one of Endgame's biggest mysteries, it's kind of a shame that we're now nearly fully aware of how it all plays out.

How Much Time Has Passed?

For a long time now, we've heard rumblings that there will be a time jump of some sort in Avengers: Endgame but this trailer only provides a handful of clues and no definitive answers.

Black Widow's red hair has grown out and Carol Danvers has clearly been accepted as part of the team after her surprise return to Earth in Captain Marvel's mid-credits scene. The world appears to be in ruins in some shots as well, and those missing posters Scott Lang is looking at have clearly been there for months. Honestly, it wouldn't be too surprising if we get a "One Year Later..." type scenario.

Spoiler: Why Hawkeye Becomes Ronin

We don't think that's Katherine Langford alongside Clint Barton practising her aim in this trailer, but whether that's supposed to be his daughter or is, in fact, Kate Bishop, there's a good chance we'll be getting some flashbacks in this movie to the moment the "Snap" happened.

After all, he's happy here, and watching on as this young woman turns to dust could be more than enough to push him over the edge (and into adopting the Ronin persona), especially if the same fate befalls the rest of his family.

Where Is That (Final?) Battle Taking Place?

Some of the most intriguing shots in this trailer feature Captain America covered in dust and dirt wielding his classic shield, Ant-Man leaping into action, and Nebula taking on an unknown foe. It's too soon to say whether or not this is the final battle, but one thing Marvel is being careful not to reveal is where these scenes - which appear to be connected - are taking place.

Still, the fact Ant-Man uses a pencil pretty much confirms that this is on Earth and if a recently leaked LEGO set is to be believed, Thanos many very well end up attacking the New Avengers Compound.

Spoiler: A New Quinjet

Further proving that we should actually pay attention to some toy leaks, a new Quinjet is shown in this trailer flying into New York City. A LEGO set showed this massive new vehicle (that's presumably capable of travelling into space as well) and this shot is intriguing for a number of reasons.

For starters, is this just a case of the team returning home or a shot from near the end of the movie after they've managed to restore the Earth to its rightful state? The fact that Black Widow and Ronin are shown in the next shot suggests that this scene takes place shortly after they bring him back from Japan.

Is Time Travel Key?

Marvel Studios is taking a very clever approach to teasing fans and it's hard not to wonder about the significance of those flashbacks to movies like Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, and Iron Man. Are they simply emphasising the fact that this movie is a culmination of 22 movies, or dropping some major hints about time travel?

Right now, it's impossible to say but you just know that Kevin Feige and the Russo Brothers are taking some satisfaction from us speculating about whether or not there's any significance to some emphasis being put on past events.

Spoiler: Scott's Family Got Dusted

That dilapidated street does indeed appear to be where Scott's ex-wife and daughter live and the look of distress on his face suggests that he's just realised they're among the missing.

That would certainly go some way to explaining why he ends up reporting to the New Avengers Compound, and the fact that Ant-Man emerges from the Quantum Realm after so much time that houses have fallen into disrepair once again points to time travel being something we'll see in the Marvel Cinematic Universe once Avengers: Endgame is released.

Where's Thanos? And What's The Plan?

Thanos may make his presence felt on the newly released poster for Avengers: Endgame, but good luck finding the Mad Titan in this trailer! We caught a glimpse of him in the teaser but there's not so much as a hint of what he's up to here and that has to be an indication that the focus is returning to the team of heroes as they deal with the aftermath of what happened.

As for what the team's plan is, that's equally as mysterious; right now, we have no clue what they intend on doing to restore the billions of lives that were wiped out in a snap, and when you really stop and think about it, we pretty much know nothing about what's going to happen in this movie!

I guess they'll just do "whatever it takes."

Hmm interesting analysis, I can't see any faults with that honestly. It would make sense there is some time gap between the movies, say a year, which would show the impact of the snap more and start the movie off of an emotionally heartbreaking standpoint. It would also explain Barton becoming a more hardened anti-hero/assassin as that would probably be his way to deal with the loss. And from what I've seen, Captain is running some sort of rehab on how to deal with the loss and move forward. It would then make more sense that during that time, the scientists of the group, would come up with the idea of rebuilding the Quinjet to travel to the Quantum Realm and "avenge" what's been done to them.

@Kadara - "Captain is running some sort of rehab on how to deal with the loss and move forward."

Good catch. That would explain why in one scene he seems to be in the room by himself and the voice-over stating that he tells others to "move on" (or something like that). And his friend, Sam, did something similar.

@Kadara - When Thor calls his hammer past CM you see a glimpse of BW. Her hair is fully blond. No red. And short. Also when she is shooting targets. Full blond. Longer though, in a ponytail. When she's in the suit it's red with no blond it looks. Clint also seems to have 3 different hair styles in this trailer with each getting shorter. I think the movie picks up right where the last one left off and spans a year or more.

House arrest isn’t so bad when you live on a farm.

Tony Stark is still in space, the past version of Tony Stark & past Nebula joins the others.

"he's wearing an ankle monitor (but seemingly isn't on house arrest like Scott Lang was)."

Scott was allowed outside of his house and in his yard, also. Just not outside of the yard perimeter.

In this case, Clint and his wife have a larger yard. He needs to be allowed to take care of his yard (mow it, for example) in case he doesn't have children; the law needs to allow for this.

From a Google search:

House Arrest Bracelet Law and Legal Definition | USLegal, Inc.

"... outside parameter of the home to allow for trash removal and lawn maintenance..."

I doubt that they care if he has fun times with his family and friends in his own yard. They just don't want him traveling.

@LSHF - Let's also keep in mind that prior to this one was a Shield Agent and one was a convicted felon.

@90caliber - Scott is on his 2nd strike.

@90caliber - Yep. So, if "2nd Strike" Scott was allowed in his own yard, then certainly a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent would be allowed in his own yard (albeit a rather large yard).

The Endgame trailers are a bunch of liars

@OmegaDaGrodd - Yep.

We now know deliberate deception is part of their marketing scheme.

Plus it is normal for scenes in the trailer to not be in the film do to re-shoots. However, since they directors announced that the edit it "locked" before this trailer, then all scenes should be in the film or they are trying to deceive us once again.

I love their trailers. They show up many things, but rarely spoil anything (like many other companies do).

"...the question is, why would two heroes who have their own suits need to don these if they're only going to be used for a trip into outer space?"

This wasn't "my" question. While some of Tony's suits might take him into space for a certain amount of time, I have NEVER seen in evidence in the MCU that his suits were made for long-distance, space travel. And this includes War Machine's suits.

And space travel could take some time, and more than likely Tony and James would want to relax and visit with the others during the trip. Use the restroom, eat, etc.

@LSHF - I kind of have a feeling they'll be using the quantum realm to reach outer-space, especially if time travel elements prove true. They can utilize a time vortex in the Quantum Realm to reach Xandar before Thanks gets the Power Stone, as some supposed scene leaks suggested in the past.

@LiteraryJoe - Interesting. I wonder how and if this will fit in with the B.A.R.F. machine that the directors stated would be featured in the film. May they use that machine to figure out which of the 14+ million possible future they should use, and then on to the time vortex.
